Awesome cookies, but I like to add raisins, toffee bits, butterscotch chips, or all of them.

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
Best if made on clear, dry day. Too much humidity can effect this recipe. I always let it cool to room temp. after adding butter and vanilla and before stirring.

Eliminated the crab meat, cut the butter way down, and sprinkled with mozzerlla cheese. Stillnot that spectacular. Probably won't try this recipe again.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
This recipe was good, but they weren't as soft as i expected them to be. I tried to roll them into a log, chill them and cut them, like the kind you buy in the store.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I made this cake for my step daughter's birthday. It was awful. It wouldn't come out of the pan, when it did, it acme out in pieces, so i tasted it, thankfully. It had a horrible flavor. It didn't rise like a cake should. I will NEVER use this recipe again.

Hazelnut Toffee Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
I made this recipe a little backwards and it worked fine. I omitted the nuts (my kids don't like nuts), quadrupled the recipe, poured it into a butter jelly roll pan lined with buttered foil. I let it cool a little and scored with a buttered knife. Then I sprinkled with 12 oz milk chocolate chips, let melt and spread. It turned out great.

Baby Food Cake Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
Even though I am the one who submitted this recipe, I have to rate it. This is a family favorite. I have to make two batches when I make them. I do ahve a note to add to this recipe though; I submitted the wrong size pan: should be a jelly roll pan.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
This was fantastic!! I made some modifications, though. I doubled the amount of broth, and added 1/3 brick cream cheese at the end with sour cream. I didn't add enough flour to thicken, though it would be easy to remedy. I've made several stroganoff recipes and this is by far the best. I was a little leary because of the mustard, and the wine that I used, but it turned out GREAT!!! My husband loved it.

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
I omitted the green peppers and doubled the recipe. At the end when you add the chicken, I added a 16 oz bag of frozen peas and carrots. I also threw in some garlic powder and minced onion and onion salt, along with celery salt (I like spices). It was a huge success. was planningon having some to freeze, but had to boil more noodles so we could eat it. Needless to say, we didn't have enough left to freeze. definitely a keeper recipe.

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This recipe was great. I did change a few things, though. I used minced onion instead of fresh, and added extra boullion. Also added bacon, and instead of half of the butter, i used bacon grease. it added a great flavor to the soup. Also, since i can't stay away from the spice cabinet, i added garlic powder, onion powder, and more celery salt. At the end when you add half & half, I used evaporated milk instead. It was really good. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

Easy Sugar Cookies

I was a little scared after I got this mixed up. It was such a dense dough, that I was afraid the cookies would be too dry. But after rolling them in sugar before baking, thay were the best sugar cookie I've ever made. So sweet and buttery!!! FANTASTIC!!!!
