Corn Fritters

My boyfriend had never had corn fritters... He fell in love with these!! I followed other users and added more sugar to the batter. These are wonderful dipped in honey!!! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Scones

I have done many different things to this recipe and they all turned out great. One thing I did was add 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the mixture then stirred in 1 cup of cinnamon baking chips.GREAT!!! Another twist was to substitute brown sugar for the white sugar, then stirred in 1 1/2 cups of toffee bits. Then I cut into mini scones to make them more bite size. AWESOME!! Will continue to use this recipe over and over agian!!!

Lemon Icebox Pie II

Had great flavor, after adding 1 tsp grated lemon peel. But ended up freezing it to get it to set. It was really runny, not firm like the recipe says it will be.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

This was GREAT!!! I served it with strawberries and whipped cream. It was probably the best strawberry shortcake I have ever made. This one's a KEEPER!!!

Chicken Kiev

It was pretty good, but hard to handle. I couln't keep the butter inside the chicken. I deep fried for 5 minutes and then baked until cooked through.Over all not a bad recipe. I will make it again, but this time figure out a way to keep the butter inside

Powdered Sugar Cookies I

The dough was VERY hard to work with. It was too soft. I put it in the fridge over night and that mad eit easier, but still not much flavor. Probably won't make these again.

Venison Scaloppini

I got a very similar recipe from my NebraskaLand Game Cook Book. My family RAVES!!! Every fall when my husband goes hunting, thats' the first thing they ask me to make after processing. I usually just use the loin steaks and pound them out. It's less work than cutting a roast. Plus, it gives the prefect size portion. I had never thoughtof serving with pasta, though. Next time I will try it.

Easy Sugar Cookies

I was a little scared after I got this mixed up. It was such a dense dough, that I was afraid the cookies would be too dry. But after rolling them in sugar before baking, thay were the best sugar cookie I've ever made. So sweet and buttery!!! FANTASTIC!!!!

This recipe is best when using Granny Smith apples. It was great!! I added a little extra cinnamon, though. Super served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

This crust was fantastic!!! And super easy. I did add about 2 tbsp garlic powder and doubled the recipe to make two pizzas. I think I'll stop searching for a good pizza crust recipe now. Thank You!!!!

Potato Soup V

This recipe was great. I did change a few things, though. I used minced onion instead of fresh, and added extra boullion. Also added bacon, and instead of half of the butter, i used bacon grease. it added a great flavor to the soup. Also, since i can't stay away from the spice cabinet, i added garlic powder, onion powder, and more celery salt. At the end when you add half & half, I used evaporated milk instead. It was really good. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

Chicken a la King I

I omitted the green peppers and doubled the recipe. At the end when you add the chicken, I added a 16 oz bag of frozen peas and carrots. I also threw in some garlic powder and minced onion and onion salt, along with celery salt (I like spices). It was a huge success. was planningon having some to freeze, but had to boil more noodles so we could eat it. Needless to say, we didn't have enough left to freeze. definitely a keeper recipe.
