Irish Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2003
First off, let me say that the only change that I made to this, was that I subsituted beer for the wine. No other changes were necessary. Wow, this is delicious! I made this for a St. Patrick's Day potluck at work. Well, not much of it made in for my co-workers. My skeptical family LOVED it. After a huge BBQ dinner, they decided that they wanted to "taste" it. 2 bowls (each) later, they were begging for more. I had to hide it in order for any of it to make it in to work! I recommend this to all! It defeinitely deserves a 5 star rating!

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
This will be the 5th Thanksgiving that I have made this pie. Let me just say that it is FANTASTIC. Fresh pumpkin really makes this pie. I agree with other reviewers about adding extra spices, but it is great as-is also. I always use the "BAKERS SECRET PIE CRUST" recipe from this site. It comes out perfect everytime. Another variation is to use the struesel topping from the "Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie" recipe also on this site. The streusel is great with walnuts or my family's favorite- pecans. YUM! You won't be dissapointed!

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
This is just as good (if not better) than the Arroz Con Pollo that I get at my favorite local Mexican restuarant. Flavorful and delicious made without any modifications!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2006
This recipe is an absolute keeper!! The topping could almost be eaten as a dip for corn chips it is so delicious. I added 1/2 tsp of garlic powder. Ihe sauce is a great compliment to the tilapia (though it would work well on any firm white fish). Both my children and my husband asked for seconds!

Swedish Nuts II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2006
These are wonderful! Just like the ones you can buy fresh and warm in the mall. I added cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger to the egg mixture before adding the nuts. I'll be packaging these for Christmas gifts this year, they are that good!

This cooks up a very moist and flavorful roast. If you are lucky enough to have leftovers, it is great sliced thin for sandwiches!

Kristen's Awesome Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2000
I also don't think that this recipe is "Kristen's" as this is the recipe off the back of the Albertson's oatmeal that is in my cupboard. However, this recipe really does bake up the tastiest oatmeal cookies!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2000
This turned out delicious! I made a few adjustments to suit my family size and taste. I used only 3 chicken breasts, only 2 cans of soup(cheddar and cream of chicken w/mushrooms). I also added some sliced onions. Next time, I think I'll try sliced mushrooms as well. I love the versatility and flavor of this meal!!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2000
This recipe is delicious and a SNAP to make! I also sliced the beef and returned it to the pot to cook, it made it sooo tender! I didn't have any beer in the house, so I omitted it and it still turned out great!

Sand Art Brownies

We made these for Christmas gifts this year. They looked so great-we had to try one. Not only do they look great, they taste wonderful! I would recommend sealing the jars very tightly however. We made-up our jars last week and the brown sugar was already hard.
