I was raised by a mother who didn't cook however when I married at the age of 17, my new mother in law took me under her wing and taught me everything she knew about cooking. She was an amazing cook and I the lucky recipient of her wealth if knowledge ! A few of our family's all time favorites are " Chinese Egg Rolls, Wok Lasagna, Swiss Steak, Chicken Kiev, Quiches, Chicken Enchiladas, Spaghetti and a myriad of wondrous soups ( baked potato, chicken corn tortilla, tortelli, 16 bean, beef barley, minnestrone, chili .... ) My Christmas and Thanksgiving recipes have been passed down for generations ! Chocolate eclairs and cream puffs Boiling eggs for egg salad... forgot about them and went outside . An hour later ... Oh My !!! Eggs and sulfur smell FILLED the house, the pan was ruined ... ;Twas a real mess !
