Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2013
Wonderful!! I wouldn't change a thing. I cooked mine for a little less time sine I used small jalapenos and hot banana peppers straight from my garden. Make sure to drain and blot sausage well to avoid it being greasy. Thanks for the recipe!!

Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I couldn't find a good sweet potato pie recipe-used this one. The only thing I changed was to use pumpkin pie spice(2 1/4 tsp) in place of spices and 1Tbsp flour(my batter was to runny) and of course sweet potatoes-This made enough for 2-9inch pies

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
WOW!-DON'T CHANGE A THING.unless your like me and dont have fresh basil on hand-I soaked my dry basil in hot water- and I'm lasy and cooked my squash in the microwave(cut in half deseed, sprinkle with salt and pepper, cut side up-no water for 15 min) this makes it less soggy. AGAIN WOW!

Boiled Tongue

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
I originally was going to cook this up as a treat for our dogs. I started by putting it in a pot on the stove-but the tongue tried to straighten out and wouldn't fit-so I put it in a slow cooker so I wouldn't have to watch it. Added extra salt, pepper, garlic and some onion. Cooked for several hours-then placed in cool water(as recomended) to cool enough to handle and remove the skin. I took a chance and cut off a piece to taste. WOW-it was sooo tender and had a good taste-even my husband agreed. Sorry dogs we are going to eat this ourselves!

Cream Cheese and Ham Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Thanks- I needed something simple-I added just a touch of Lawrys seasoning salt-I preferred it that way since I was eating it with some bland wheat crackers. I didnt make a ball just ate it out of the bowl

Old-Fashioned Coconut Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
First time I've ever made a homemade pie-It turned out great-This is defenitly a keeper. The only thing I changed was I put less meringue on it because my Hubby says he don't like alot of white fluffy stuff on top. I would be proud to make this for recipe for anyone!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
I'll give it a 5 because it was a great starter recipe. I used chicken broth with the water. I didn't add onion(my pref). Biggest recomendation-don't add butter and use 1 can of grands bisquits and cook them for 2 hours

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Great recipe- only thing I changed was I didn't use the oven I just put it back in the slow cooker on high for about an hour. Turned out good. Next time I will use a BBQ sauce with a little more kick-but thats what I prefer.
