I was never interested in cooking until I married my husband. After serving raw hamburgers, charred sausages and bland pasta dishes, I didn't resort to mac n cheese every night; I kept trying. About 6 months before my father-in-law passed away, he equipped me with top-of-the-line cookware, knifes and cook books. He wanted to pass his passion of cooking on to me (and I'm sure wanted to know that his son was fed well too!) Ever since, I've been reading, preparing, eating, and watching programs about food. It's been fun and my family loves it! My daughter is almost 3 and it's super important that she eats healthy and well, so lately I've been preparing alot of snacky type foods (muffins, granola bars, yogurt) in my own kitchen. I like to know what's going into her little belly and it helps me to eat well too.
My favorite things to cook
Stews, soups and chilies in the cold months.
My cooking triumphs
I never thought I'd make an apple pie better than my mother's. I did!
My cooking tragedies
Uh, read the "about me" section. Does anyone really read this stuff?
