Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
These were awesome! I added 3 green onions to the mix just because to me Quesadillas are not the same without green onions. Very quick recipe and delicious served with salsa and sour cream.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2008
This recipe is delicious... I swapped the veggies for whatever ones we felt like having... and estimated on the seasoning amounts... great alternative to regular Alfredo pasta.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2008
This is an awesome marinade... we had it on some really cheap steak and it was tough but tasted great... thanks to this marinade. I will definitely use this again... and buy better steak next time. :)

Grill Dough

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
I love making individual pizza's on the grill with this dough... I have yet to try it as a garlic bread... but I think that would be very yummy and work well with this recipe!

Soft Sandwich Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
These are truly delicious! You know a bun is good when it is delicious with just butter! Yum! Yum! I only had traditional yeast so I proofed it in 1/4 cup hot water for 10 minutes and only used a cup of warm milk instead... I also used all-purpose flour instead of the bread flour. I also just formed them into buns with my hands rather than roll them out. I will definitely continue to use this recipe.

Coconut Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
The filling for this recipe is absolutely delicious and I will use it again. Other then that I did not follow the recipe. I used a very moist chocolate cake and found that it did not need any extra icing. The filling is so good there is nothing else really needed. Besides a tall glass of milk or coffee! :)

Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This is my new Broccoli Cheese Soup Recipe. My husband is a big fan of this kind of soup and he loved it. I did make some changes though because I did not have all the right ingredients. I used mozza instead of cheddar and I used 4 cups of water with 2 bouillon cubes instead of the chicken stock. I also cut the garlic powder down to 1 tsp. instead of 2... this was just perfect for us... I think the garlic taste would be overpowering with 2... and I only put half and onion in... since my hubby isn't such a big fan of onion. So yeah... just goes to show you can make do with what you have and things can still turn out great. :) Thanks for the delicious recipe!

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
This is the best recipe for eggnog I have found. I will no longer be looking for other recipes... I used this last year and added rum flavoring instead of the light rum because I was pregnant... but this year I will add the real stuff... yum.. yum... I am already looking forward to it.

Garlic Butter Shrimp

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This was excellent! My husband wanted me to make some garlic shrimp like they have at Red Lobster so I decided to give this recipe a try. We just estimated on the amounts and it turn out great! We also used garlic powder for a more concentrated taste. Delicious! My husband already wants another batch!

Pink Cloud

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
My friend used to always bring this jello salad to our BBQ's but she always made it with orange jello and didn't add the fruit or nuts. My husband always looked forward to it. I think that I will be making this recipe with orange jello and mandarin oranges. Mmm mmm! I would also leave out the nuts because my husband doesn't like crunchy stuff in his jello...

Dutch Honey Syrup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
I just made this recipe this morning! And, it is to die for! It has a wonderful caramel flavor! We had it on French Toast! I halved the recipe and there was plenty leftover since it was just my husband and me. I love that this recipe is so easy to remember and so easy to make in smaller quantities. You could really scale this down as much as you want. This syrup probably wouldn't be good with something like crepes because then it would over-power the taste... but for something hearty like French Toast it is perfect. This would also be wonderful on ice cream as a caramel sauce. A great way to use up the leftovers!

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
These are the BEST brownies that I have ever made! I made them exactly as written, adding 1 cup of chocolate chips. They were just perfect, moist and gooey in the centre! I think that those who are getting a more cake like brownie are simply baking them for too long. I always start checking them quite a bit earlier then the suggested time just because every oven is different. And, the best way to tell if they are done is to stick a toothpick or knife in the centre and there should be fudgy crumbs stuck to it. You don't want it to come out clean because then you have over cooked it! Try this recipe it is the best!

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
I use this recipe all the time for biscuits... I halve the recipe though since we don't make biscuits all the time and just use when needed. I also just use hard margarine instead of shortening. My favorite recipe to use this in is "Cheese Biscuits I" from this site.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
These cookies are soooo good! My husband could not stop eating them. I thought that the amount of icing was perfect. I literally just had enough for all the cookies. I used 2 Tbsp milk in the icing instead of the cream and chunky peanut butter instead of smooth. Heavenly! Sweet and salty with every bite.

Apple Lemon with Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
I have been making these for a couple of years now. The only thing that I do differently is add a teaspoon of strawberry jam to the middle. I also often leave the lemon peel out if I don't have one on hand. Great for breakfast because they are not too sweet and with the jam in the middle they are perfect for running out the door (or great to take on camping trips).

Blue Cheese Burgers

These were excellent! I had to approximate on the amounts because I only used 2 lbs of ground beef. But, they were very yummy and flavorful! A keeper!

Quick Butter Croissants

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
This recipe is excellent! So light and fluffy. Not as fluffy as the tradition croissant... but I haven't been able to master that yet. It really does have the taste and feel of a croissant though, so that satisfies me! I only baked 8 croissants and am freezing the rest so I can have them freshly baked when I feel like it. Just freeze them in their croissant shape and then on the day you want to bake them take them out a couple of hours ahead of time to thaw and rise. Also, beat 1 Tbsp of water with the egg before brushing it on... it makes a better glaze.

Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
Yummy! This is my recipe for burgers from now on. I ended up having to pan fry them because we ran out of propane... and they were still delicious... not too meaty tasting at all. I know if this recipe tastes delicious pan fried it will be knock out on the grill!
