My favorite things to cook
I love to work with dough, and I love to make and decorate cakes. My problem is I like to cook more then me and my husband can eat... so I have to slow myself down a bit.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Previously, Christmas Eve with my whole family, having Turkey Dinner for Lunch, and then having a smorgasbord of food in the evening while we open presents and celebrate together. But, now that my husband and I just recently moved to Norway, we will have to start our own Christmas traditions with our children.
My cooking triumphs
My friend allowed me to make her wedding cake back in 2007 and that started a new passion of mine... cake decorating! Since then I have been able to make 4 more wedding cakes and numerous birthday cakes. Fun fun fun!
My cooking tragedies
One time I was making butter tart slice (which is like a really big butter tart in a 9x13 pan) and I accidentally added 3 cups of flour instead of 3 tsp of flour. Needless to say I quickly tried to scoop out all of the flour that I could. :) It turned out to be more like a butter tart cake... but I still enjoyed it!
