Easy Bake Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
Tasted way too sweet. Not sure about that low oven temperture. Upped mine to 350 half way through, didn't look like anything was happening.

Seven Layer Dip I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
I mixed a softened package of cream cheese in the refried beans to give the bottom a sturdy base to better hold the other ingredients. Also substituted veggie crumbles for ground beef with the taco seasoning others recommended for a lighter version.

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Take about 8 cloves of raw garlic and throw them into the water with the potatos and let them cook together. They will be soft and mash easily. TO DIE FOR

Classic Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
Hollandaise is always a little trickey...if the temperature isnt right it will seperate..which happened to me. Taking it off the stove and a couple drops of water brought it back to life.

Surprise South Beach Mashed 'Potatoes'

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
I wouldn't serve it to company...but after being on an Atkins/Southbeach diet for a week and watching my husband dig into his loaded baked potato, I was happy to have it. I don't care for califlower but I thought this was a tasty way to eat it. I used a pat of butter and a dollop of sour cream to mashed it. Then It needs some spice, so I used garlic, onion, seasoned sea salt, and red pepper. Shockingly not bad!! I will definately make it for ME again while dieting.

Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
For a 1 1/2 lb machine, if you change the "customize this recipe" on the bottom of the page to "11" servings you will get a perfect sized loaf. Also put in 3 teaspoons of minced garlic and went heavy on the parmesan and basil.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
I went ahead and put a teaspoon of baking powder in as the last person suggested. We also used 1 cup of sugar instead of equal. The taste was o.k. but still a strange consistancy. Won't make again.

I was in a hurry and spread cream cheese on BREMNER WAFER crackers, salt, cucumber slice, then dill. The cracker is the same size as a cucumber slice and tastes like bread.

I was impressed with how smooth and creamy the sauce turned out. I substituted cream for the milk, and added a half teaspoon of minced garlic.

Ziti Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
This is a nice recipe, but unless you like bland food, be prepared to add a lot of spices. I added much more garlic, salt, and some other complimentary spices. Also before cooking I decided I wanted to make an "oven baked ziti" So after it was prepared, I placed it a baking pan, sprinkled the top with shredded cheese and parmesan and put it in a 350 degree oven for 30 min. I also cooked the chicken in olive oil, instead of frying. I will say that I tasted it before baking it and it was much more flavorful after baking it.

I made half a recipe and used 2 teaspoons of yeast, I don't use packages. I also don't used powdered milk, so I did not use it. I also skipped the egg whites. My husband went crazy over them. They turned out great!!

I Like to make this in the crock pot because it really brings out the flavor. I steamed the rice seperately.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2005
We loved this recipe. So fast and easy. As far as some of the comments made about using less butter, I went ahead and used all the butter which I think was needed to make sure the shrimp was coated. There was a lot left over in the pan but that was o.k. We did add a light sprinkling of parmesan and old bay, which i think helped the butter cling to the shrimp. A little splash of white wine is also good in the mix.
