Peanut Butter Fudge Cake

This cake caused arguments in my house. "What do you mean you ate the last piece!?" arguments. It was absolutely dense, rich, and delicious. I did make a few changes. I didn't spread the peanut butter layer alone; I was mixing the icing when we got a call and had to leave the house quickly, when we returned, the icing had hardened in the mixer, so I added the peanut butter directly to it and some light cream to bring it to the right consistency and voila! I will definitely make this cake many, many times, especially when I eat the last piece! Try this, you won't be disappointed.

Rocky Road Ice Cream

Way too many marshmallows in this one. The ice cream itself was delicious though. We may try to add Fluff instead of marshmallows next time, have more a ribbon than fluffy flecks.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

We liked this quite a bit, but decided the cake mix made it taste too commercial. Next time I make this, I'll use my Nana's cottage pudding recipe (which I'll be posting on the site soon)for the cake. The topping was absolutely delicious, and the cake was as pretty as a pineapple!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Oh My God! This is a beautiful bread, both in taste and aesthetic. I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and mixed up a simple glaze of orange juice, vanilla and confectioners sugar, drizzling it over the top while the loaf is still hot. Gives it a gorgeous shine, and an initial sweet taste with the after tart of the cranberry. If you're looking for a nice large loaf, for breakfast or afternoon tea...THIS IS THE ONE YOU'RE LOOKING FOR! I will never use any recipe but this from now on...not even Nana's!

Gingerbread Boys

The taste of these is delicious, but alas, as was the case with many reviewers, mine puffed up and spread out, making gingerbread blobs rather than boys. I followed the advice to use smaller eggs, I refrigerated, and still was left disappointed. As I said, they taste great, but failed to hold cookie shapes true to form.

Amish White Bread

I made only 1 change; I halved the sugar called for, only adding 1/3 cup and it was plenty sweet. This recipe made two beautiful, huge, and delicious loaves of bread. The dough was a little hard to work with at first, but came along pretty well. After rising, I was amazed at how light and fluffy without holes. Highly recommended.

Beer Batter for Fish

We really liked this. I halved the recipe, used Sam Adams Summer Ale, and added both Old Bay and Blackened Seasoning. The batter fried up crispy and light. Will make again!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I made these with chopped Granny Smith apples in place of the blueberries and they were wonderful! I also made them with cinnamon chips in place of the blueberries which made a perfect coffeecake muffin. I should mention, I did make them with the blueberries and they were superb. I think I may try fresh raspberries next. I always add a teaspoon of vanilla, adding it to the milk before measuring.

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

My husband requested this for dinner and I begrudgingly agreed. That was before I knew both how easy they would be to make and how absolutely delicious they would be! Even my Mother-in-law, who made a surprise visit, commented on how impressed she was...who can ask for better than that?!

These were absolutely delicious, not to mention cute as a button! I substituted strawberry jam, and vanilla extract. Update: December 18th, 2007; I LOVE LOVE LOVE these with apricot preserves.

Authentic German Potato Salad

We served this at our church's annual holiday fair to rave reviews and then again in our kitchen this evening...again, rave reviews. We don't change a thing, why would we, this recipe is perfect as is.Update: Jan 14: Served again for dinner, and it's still incredible!

Does it get any easier than this? I made chocolate peanut butter fudge by using half milk chocolate chips and half peanut butter chips. The fudge is pretty enough to give as a gift in a hand-painted gingerbread box, and delicious enough to treat myself!

Alfredo Sauce

The sauce is delicious, but the amount of parsley was a little too much for us, almost made it taste grassy. We add less parsley and just love this. Fresh black pepper is a must!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

As far as meatloaf goes, this isn't the one the Connor family dreads on Roseanne reruns. Every ingredient is sure to be in your pantry. It smells fabulous, spicy and savory, as it cooks, and dances that sweet and sour dance on your tongue. You'll want seconds, and maybe even thirds!

The Original All-Bran® Muffins

I love these. very few changes made here: I added 1/2 tsp madagascar vanilla, 1/2 cup golden raisins and 1/2 cup california raisins and used organic sugar. They turned out fluffy, and sweet.

Sugar Coated Pecans

These are fabulous! I made them to add to a strawberry and spinach salad for that little extra wow factor. I followed the recipe as written with one exception; I added 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper for a little spicy bite, and I'm so glad I did. These I will be making often, very often!

Beef or Chicken Marinade

I made this marinade exactly as submitted except I minced vadalia onion and used it on sirloin tips bound for the grill. The marinade was delicious with a slight bite thanks to the pepper and perfect amount of sweetness thanks to the honey. I think I'll try adding some paprika next time to add just a touch of that smoke taste.
