Divorced mother of three kids; living in Concord, NC. I sell my photography of nature on I'm a foodie! I love cooking, trying new recipes and going out to restaurants. My favorite foods include sushi and fondue, and I enjoy making both at home. I was raised in FL, and so I love all kinds of seafood.
My favorite things to cook
I love to grill, since I enjoy the outdoors as much as good food. I like to try out new recipes, and new cooking methods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lefse and Meatballs; (a Norweigan tradition), was taught to me and all the women in our family by my grandmother. We always made it on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Roasted chicken, beef manicotti, and my chicken parmesan got rave reviews by my family and friends. I was proud when I successfully made several kinds of sushi, and it was delicious!
My cooking tragedies
I was baking some fish in a glass baking dish, and it started to get too dry in the pan, so I added water. The glass exploded everywhere! I'm just lucky I didn't get severely hurt!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
I used chicken tenderloins, fresh mushrooms, low fat cream cheese, omitted margarine, and I added the cream of chicken soup in the beginning. The cream cheese flavor was overwhelming to me. I also did not like the way the chicken shredded when I stirred in the cream cheese.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way
Good basic recipe. I like to mix in some herbs with the butter before spreading it under the skin. I also spread some inside the cavity. I always place an onion inside for a boost of flavor; it also helps made the bird juicy.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan
This is my favorite way to prepare white fish fillets. I like to make some spinach on the side; the sauce is so good with it!
