Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
I tried this recipe only because others called for shortening while this one did not. I am so glad I did! My wife totally loved these as a surprise for her and they also make a great sugar cookie as well. Just roll in sugar instead of cinnamon sugar. I also tried with nesquik mix and they were not bad either. I love recipes which can be so versatile! Thanks so much!

Made this last night and it was great, I used some frozen meatballs we had instead of the ground beef and substituted 8oz of cream cheese for the cooking creme. It turned out great! It was even really good reheated today for lunch. Thanks for the easy, quick and versatile recipe. It can be used so many ways.

Smothered Bacon Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
Oh my goodness, I can not express how good this was and easy! 4 total ingredients! It was very flavorful and juicy. I just seasoned it with a little salt (remember the bacon will add some salt flavor also so be careful, fresh ground pepper, and a little bit of thyme leaves. I served it with some wild rice, green beans, and biscuits. Excellent dish will make again and again! Thanks for the recipe!

Ranch Crispy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
I gave this 4 stars because it was so simple to make. It was flavorful and was good but for me personally the ranch overpowered the chicken. Maybe it was that I used breast tenders instead of just breast filets. I also didn't have any bread crumbs so I diced up some flavored croutons in my food processor and used that instead. I will make again and use breast filets and see if it isnt as overpowered. Thanks for the quick recipe!

Cornbread Salad I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2005
My mom told me about this dish and I found the recipe. When I read the ingredients I was kind of hesitant, but I made it anyways with a bit of a change. I omitted the tomatoes, peppers, and onions and added 1 can of rotel (drained). I was very surprised at how good this was. This would be a perfect side dish at a picnic, BBQ, or any kind of warm weather get together. Will Definately make again just not as much as it does make a rather large amount. Next time I might spice it up with some chili powder or cayenne pepper added to the dressing. Might also drain the rotel into that dressing to help with the flavor more also. Thanks for this recipe my mom is glad to have it also!

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2005
These were very good. My first time making muffins, or baking anything and they turned out very well. I did add a bit of extra sugar and some brown sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. The Sweetness was just right for me. I used frozen whole strawberries and put them in muffin cups. Thanks for the easy recipe!

Cuban Style Marinated Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
This was pretty good, alot of flavor and very quick to make. I marinated the steaks for 30 minutes and they tasted very nice, I just used a gallon plastic bag and put in 2 steaks and got both steaks flat. About halfway through marinating them I just flipped the bag over to help the process. Next time I will marinade longer for more flavor and maybe add some hotter spices to liven it up some more. Very good though!

Thie was pretty good, was my first time cooking chicken on the grill and it turned out nice. I cut back the serving to 6 and cooked only legs on a charcoal grill but it still all turned out very tasty. Will definatly use this recipe again!
