Homemade Dog Food

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
Actually it IS a very healthy recipe. No where does it say this is all your dog can eat. Like humans, we need different foods.I just spent hours this morning researching healthy foods to feed dogs. This one pretty much sums it up. Again, not the ONLY thing to feed your pet. But this won't hurt them either. It may be a little too much garlic.....a little garlic is very good, but not a lot. Vegetables are great but need to be pureed for the dog to be able to digest them.

Smothered Collard Greens and Cabbage

Reviewed: May 5, 2014
I couldn't follow the recipe because I didn't know what "greens seasonings" is. I would have loved to have tried it though.

Best Beef Stroganoff

This was really yummy. I didn't use the wine because I didn't have any. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I'll make it again!

Atomic Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
This is very good, and healthy too! I didn't have any cauliflower but next time will add it. I used half FF mayo and half plain yogurt. It needed a little more taste so I sprinkled garlic salt and pepper on it. If you're watching your sodium intake, use some lemon juice. I diced up a left over tomato...and it gave it brightened it up! Pimentoes would work too. I didn't have any macaroni, so I used the small seashell pasta. Looked almost too pretty to eat! This makes A LOT...so I halved the recipe...and it's still a lot. Enjoyed....and thanks for your recipe!

Logan Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2005
Yummy! Usually I don't like raisins but this was good with the raisins. I didn't have any sunflower seeds so I used chopped walnuts. This is a very versatile recipe.....add or subtract whatever. I thought it was a little on the sweet side, so next time I will cut back on the honey and/or brown sugar. It makes A LOT...must be eaten in 3-4 days or it will become dry. I will definitely make this again and see how well it freezes.

Horseradish Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This is absolutely DELICIOUS! The horseradish is more like a "secret" ingredient. I've been trying lime jello salads for years trying to find the one my mom use to make. I think this is it!

This was really good. I added some celery. Loved the cloves, vinegar, and sugar. I didn't even use the spice packet!

Brennan's Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2013
I make this all the time now. However, I bake it for less than the time stated because it gets done a lot sooner than the time indicated. How anyone can knead the sticky dough on a floured surface is beyond my understanding. I just plop it in a greased bowl and bake. Turns out perfect!
