I love cooking for others. My excitement waits as they take their first bite...the smile, the warmth on their face and the "hmmmm" is what I wait for.
Cooking for me (as long as I am by myself) is therapy. Although there are things that my husband and I cook together. It keeps our relationship strong.
As I get older, cooking comes a bit easier, only because I have learned my processes and how I move within my kitchen.

My cooking triumphs
I don't normally grill or smoke food. I don't like the way I smell afterward, but...For Father's day weekend, I sent my husband off to a motorcycle rally in Austin, TX and while he was gone, I made a 15 lbs brisket and baby back ribs. They were the best we had ever had!!! I took my time, did my research and triumphed!!! Maybe I will do it again...
My cooking tragedies
Unfortunately I do not bake sweets very well. I'm not sure what it is, but cakes and frosting cakes is the most difficult thing for me.
