About this Cook
I'm a 29-year-old engaged mother of one! I live in a house consisting of myself, my fiance, my son...and 2 friends of ours who rent out the extra bedrooms we have. Being the only woman in the house, I've basically become the house-mom and take care of everyone...I do close to all the cooking, so I'm always looking for new things to cook for this hungry group of men in my life. I like to either make one big yummy meal or a whole bunch of tasty finger foods for everyone to snack on.
My favorite things to cook
I'll try anything!!! I love making casseroles and soups because they're so quick and easy...and they're hard to mess up, lol! I also love cooking for parties...finger foods, salads, crock-pot dishes, etc!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Portuguese...SOOO yummy!
My cooking triumphs
Delicious "healthy cookies" - Whole Wheat, Multi-Grain, & Chocolate Chip Cookies (so good).
My cooking tragedies
Fried Chicken! Two words..."grease fire"!

Steak on a Stick
Hey, it's Dominique! Glad everyone has liked the steaks!!! I should've noted that they can be a bit salty, so when I make them I usually get reduced-sodium soy sauce if I can. I also should've mentioned that the recipe works just as well with other cuts of beef and is even great for chicken and pork! My hubby and my 2-year-old son like it when I use this marinade to make pork chops in the slow-cooker! Anyway, makes me VERY happy to see everyone enjoying a family favorite of mine!
