Well some people learn to cook to impress a guy, I on the other hand impressed a guy to learn how to cook... I got married June 2005 and decided that eating out all the time wasn't an option!
My favorite things to cook
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease a few years ago so most of my cooking is now Gluten free. I attempt to remain normal and try to make gluten free food that takes like it was intended to be that way. If you've ever eaten gluten free you know this is a challenge but I am getting better all the time and find ways to work around certain ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We had a baby this past year and decided instead of making cookies for santa and decorating gingerbread houses I would bake a "train cake" and we would read Polar express and decorate it for Santa. Of course we will have to wait on the decorating until the little man gets a little bigger but I am very excited about it.
My cooking triumphs
We had an art show at our house for my husband and I made several appetizers including stuffed mushrooms, pears with stilton, baked blackberry brie and many other gourmet type foods. My mother and mother in law commented that it was not only an art show for him.
My cooking tragedies
A little thing I like to call heartburn skillet! I woke up at 3AM needing rolaids like you wouldn't believe!
