Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: May 3, 2007
i am filipino and this is a different version that i am used to .. but it is very good. the key is the right mix of vinegar to soy,*here is my mom's take on this....after boiling the adobo, pan fry in chicken to 2-3 tbsp. of oil.once it has brown, add the adobo sauce till you get a rich sauce . (once you cook it a few times you will get it.) i just can't eat it with plain rice... fry garlic till brown and add "day old rice and a bit of salt" yummy!

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
my husband is real finicky when it comes to new food. i tried this one because it involved butter ! how can u go wrong with frying chicken in butter... i waited to see his reaction and to my surprise it was a POSITIVE one. he ate it all!!! it was a bit time consuming to fry but was worth the effort. next time i will just use a bigger pot with a lb. of butter. thanks for the recipe. a keeper !!!!!!!!!

Elephant Ears

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
i guess i was disappointed in the end result. in canada we have something similar to elephant ears called beaver tails, more of a fried donut consistency, so i guess i was expecting it to be like that - will not be making this again.
