I made these so my daughter would get some protein in the mornings. The flavor was wonderful. I baked mine a little longer, and flattened them prior to cooking instead of after. I didn't use flax, and didn't add anything else to make up for it, so the cookies were a little wet. But, that was my fault, so I'm not penalizing the recipe. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is that I think there is too much chocolate. (You will NEVER hear me say that again.) I would probably cut the chocolate chips in half next time, and use more raisins. (Which I subbed for the cherries.) I also used coconut oil instead of canola, PB instead of almond butter, and honey instead of agave. I think this will be a family favorite now that I know how to tweak it. Overall, a great recipe to customize, and a healthy, quick, breakfast option.
