John's Crabby Caps

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I diverted from this recipe some... Customized it to my liking. I used Parmesan cheese, and smoked pepper jack, no Italian seasoning, sherry, or chili powder, I used a couple of teaspoons of hot sauce instead. The way the ingredients collaborated just tasted so divine! I will try to make the next batch like John posted it just to see if I like them.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
They came out just as moist as they can be and even the chocolate taste wasn't too overpowering, everything balanced out wonderfully- loved them! Everyone that I shared them w/ agreed with me, even my picky 7yr old was happy!! These came out way better then I thought they would... YES even w/ all the POS feedback! See I had a bad experience the first time I ate Red Velvet, so I was a little iffy to try and eat RED VELVET EVER!! Well, I just want to say that I'm so glad that it worked out for the better *wink* & So glad that I actually made them myself(for the first time ever), that way I know what I need to do to tweak and improve on so they eventually become my own! I did take in all of the suggestions/changes that the reviewers posted and adjusted mine to that(for now). I will definitely be making these again. Thanks for sharing...

Honey-Ginger Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Just made it this evening for my "honey" and I! HAPPY V-DAY... Well he LOVED it, and I must say do did I; I will definitely be keeping this recipe on hand *wink* Only things that I changed were the time I let it marinate (5hrs), soy sauce- I only had available half of the soy sauce, so I added in to finish off the other half a stir fry sauce that I had on hand *shrugs* it was a little thicker in consistency but it did the job, also I didn't grill it I slowly baked it on 350 for like 15min(continuously checking on it). Next time I make this I want to definitely try and grill it, I know it's got to be just as good!! Thanks again for sharing...

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Absolutely spectacular!! Went well w/ the red velvet cupcakes (by pinkspoonula) I made today. I did make some adjustments like the other reviewers suggested, because I like my cream cheese icing to be on the sweeter side as well *wink* I'm so glad that I had left over icing, I'm goin to have to go make a nice little carrot cake to go w/ it :-) yay! Thanks again for sharing Janni!!

Buttery Lemon Spinach

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
(Gave 5 stars for the taste of the ingredients used) I've been using all the same ingredients for years, BUT IMO I think that this comes out way better if you prepare it in a skillet right before you get ready to serve it! Always a great compliment w/ salmon dishes!

Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
This was my first time using a recipe to make my Turkey... Normally I just do what I know, don't have a set recipe I just cook how my mother showed me...lol BUT I have to say that this turned out GREAT!! Everyone that came over this year for Thanksgiving loved it, and said that it was full of flavor and very juicy... I also used the cranberry, sausage and apple stuffing which also got two thumbs up!

Crabmeat Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
This is exactly the recipe that I was looking for that is the closest to the ones that they serve at the buffet deli's that I have eaten at (with out the carrots). I made it for this New Year's party and everyone loved it! As an option I served it with Crossiants so that people could eat it as a sandwich. This will definately be made over and over in my house...Thanks for sharing it with us!!
