Easy Sausage Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
This recipe is a good one. I add some onion and a few spices to liven it up. You cut the crescent rolls in half to get the 16 servings, I usually use 2 cans because it makes a lot. Originally, I found this recipe on the Pillsbury recipe site but they call them "Donkey Balls". They are good as recipe states but I like to add some spice! This is a good basic recipe!

Spicy Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
This is a great recipe not only for the pretzels but there are so many varieties you can also use. Use Chex cereal or oyster crackers instead of the pretzels. I sometimes use 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes instead of the cayenne and lemon pepper. You can also use dill and no lemon pepper. I never use the garlic salt...instead I use garlic powder because sometimes the packaged ranch mix is a little salty. Try adding peanuts..dry roasted or cocktail peanuts....cashew pieces are good also..... Wonderful recipe..so many ways you can use this recipe ..... be creative! We enjoy adding the nuts to ours...Thanks for sharing!

I have been making this recipe for more than 25 years... Sometimes I add 1 Tablespoon more of the unsweetened cocoa powder for more of a chocolate taste in the cake and the icing!...it is a very easy and quick way for a wonderful cake.....my recipe is called "Brownie Sheet Cake".....got it from a friend of mine!

Grandma's Sweet Slaw

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
I have been using this recipe for years. I use less sugar (1/4 c.)instead of 1/2 c.of sugar. You can use splenda instead of sugar. I also add salt & pepper to taste and sometimes add chopped green bell pepper & celery seed to add different flavors. It is a very basic and good recipe...the only thing is that it does not keep well.

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I have used this recipe for years. It never fails. You can also use 1 can of Golden Mushroom soup along with the 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup and use 1/2 c. to 3/4 c. of water if you don't have beef broth on hand. If you don't have a slow cooker, you can also bake a 4-5 pound roast in a 325 degree oven for approx. 4 hours It's a wonderful recipe!!! Thanks for sharing!

Brown Bean Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
I was one of those kids growing up in the 60s & 70s in Tulsa and have wanted this recipe for years. It is one of the best. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe...what wonderful memories this brings back...and yes you have to have cinnamon rolls with it for "tradition". My husband will be thrilled (he went to school in Tulsa in the 70s)as this was one of his favorites.
