Rolled Flank Steak

So good. Had some trouble butterflying the steak myself and then ultimately trying to roll it. Will try a few more times to get it to look pretty before making for guests. I did partially cook the bacon first as others suggested. The red pepper was still a little crispy so next time I may use roasted red peppers or just cook them a little before attempting to roll. Thanks for this recipe!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

3/15/10 - Love it! Have made this a few times and follow the advice of others. I usually end up using a can of beef broth (if I have it) along with the remaining amount of water. I always double up the seasonings called for. I never put in salt. This past weekend I served it on rolls made from Mama D's Italian Bread recipe on this site.

Cinnamon Rolls I

Delicious. Not gooey like a Cinnabon and exactly what I was looking for. I put the Cinnabon cream cheese frosting on top. Made it Friday night for the perfect Saturday morning breakfast.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions

Will definitely make again! There was a sale on some garlic & peppercorn marinated pork so we gave that a shot. The pepper flavor was kind of overwhelming, but the pork was really tender and juicy.

Taco Seasoning I

We absolutely loved this seasoning. I used a pinch of salt (personal preference) and didn't need to add any later. Had a great flavor and not super spicy like the hot seasoning packets where your mouth is on fire. Will not have to buy the salty prepared seasonings anymore! Thank you!

We loved these for lunch! I played around with different flavored tortillas and flat breads I found. I also didn't crumble the bacon and just put a full slice or two in each and left out the tomato. yum!

Mama D's Italian Bread

It took me more than a few tries to get it right but WOW is this good! I haven't been able to find anything even close to the Italian bread I grew up on in NJ since I moved to KY, so I realized I would have to start making it myself. My winning combo was reducing the amount of water to about 1.5 cups and that took me about 5 cups of flour to get the stiff dough. Started off in my stand mixer with the whisk attachment until it was thick enough for the dough hook. Sprinkled flour when I was kneading in between risings to keep dough from sticking. I think my baking time was 25 - 30 minutes. I put a pan of water on the bottom rack instead of misting. Thank you so much for this recipe!

Chicken Marsala

So quick and easy to make. Added to our regular rotation. I used two cups of sliced mushrooms, a little bit of onion we had left in the fridge, double the marsala wine and sherry. I don't add salt to the flour mixture. Talking to my mom, found out she always made it with nutmeg instead of oregano and added some beef broth and flour and boiled it down until it was nice and thick.

Roasted Rack of Lamb

This was my first time cooking lamb and hosting Easter dinner. Followed directions exactly (scaled up) and it came out perfect. Everyone loved it. The butcher recommended 4 ribs per guy and 2 ribs per gal. Thank you!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Love, Love, Love this recipe! This was exactly the kind of cornbread I was looking for and I was surprised that I already had all the ingredients in the house when the craving hit. It's super easy to make and the only thing different I did was soak the cornmeal in the milk for a few minutes while I was pulling all the other stuff out of the cabinets. Thank you so much for this recipe!

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

I made this hosting my first Thanksgiving and it was delicious! I should have scaled the amount of stuffing down because we used the smaller mushrooms, and half of it is sitting in our freezer waiting for another gathering.
