Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
Good start - Needed some jazzing up. I cooked the onions longer (10 minutes), added 1 TBL minced garlic, 3 TBL tomato paste, increased the worchestershire to 1.5 TBL, used 1 cup milk and 1 cup half & half, doubled the cayenne and added more salt to taste (much too bland) - THEN this recipe knocked my socks off!

Potato Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
These are GREAT with a gravy based main dish like sauerbraten. The mixing required to get the paste-like flour/egg mixture was a ton of work and seem counter intuitive. But with a lot of elbow grease it all worked out well. I pre-made the dumplings and kept them in the fridge...way easier to handle this way. REALLY GOOD!

Pumpkin Curry with Lentils and Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
This CAN be a 4 star recipe...with some tweaking. 1) If you don't want mushy lentils, don't cook them first. They can be started at the same time as the other pot. Then add them with the spinach. 2)Use 2 apples or you won't notice they're in there. 3) Rather bland SO...this is what I found...add way more salt, add 1.5+ tsp of red pepper flakes, and the juice of 2-3 limes. 4) Top with roasted sunflower seeds - give it a nice added texture.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Amazing muffins. Seriously good. Here's my problem. I followed someone's advice and sprayed the muffin cup AND top to ensure the whole muffin would pop out. This did not happen. Every muffin top came off and then with very little effort the bottom popped out. Any suggestions as to how to prevent this?
