Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

I made this for baby shower luncheon for a vegetarian friend. It was a huge hit. I couldn't find red lentils, so I just used brown. I also added an extra apple. Yummy.

Roll-Out Cookies

Yummy cookies, but the winner in this recipe is the glaze. My kids had a great time applying it with paint brushes...much nicer/easier than trying to help little hands spread icing with a knife.

Slow Cooker Guisado Verde

Delicious. My only change was to use 1 one pound pork tenderloins. This reduced the cooking time to 4 hours.

Marinated Wild Salmon

Best salmon I have ever eaten. The only changes I made were to omit the red pepper flakes and substitute white wine vinegar for the white balsamic (couldn't find it). Also, I cooked mine on the grill. I highly recommend it.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best recipe I've found on this sight. My 5 year old calls it "Honey Chicken" and would eat it every night. I've made it at least a dozen times. SO GOOD!

Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

I used 6 tomatoes from my grandpa's garden--and this soup still was very pale--and not as "tomatoey" as I would have liked. I actually ended up dumping a can of condensed tomato soup in just so my family would eat it. I may try again and add the tomato pulp rather than straining out the juice.

Zucchini Bread VII

Baked up beautifully--lovely texture--but a tad bland. I will definitely use this recipe again, but will add some cinnamon and maybe a bit of cloves.

Fresh Corn Pudding

I had one bite of this, and went and checked the recipe to see if I had used too much butter. Don't get me wrong--I love butter, but this was very greasy and incredibly buttery. Most of it will probably go to waste.
