The skinny cook you can trust!
About this Cook
I love to cook and I especially love to cook for my family. My passion used to be desserts, but now it's trying to find something that is fast and pleases my kids! It's a tough job and I couldn't do it will all my fellow chefs on Allrecipes!
My favorite things to cook
Everything homemade using as little processed and convenience food as possible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has a Betty Crocker cookbook from the 80s and nearly everything is completely homemade in it. My husband and I now use the best pancake recipe from that cookbook to make pancakes every Saturday for our children.
My cooking triumphs
I have made the Tiramisu Layer Cake from this website so many times I have lost count and that is not even the fraction of the amount of requests I have gotten for the recipe and the dessert itself! I also get requests for my manicotti and lasanga recipe!
My cooking tragedies
They say silicone is non-stick. It's a lie. I have a silicone bundt pan and I just recently made a complete embarrassment of a cake!

Texican Squash
This was delicious, even with the differences I had to make because I didn't have the full amount of some ingredients! I only had 1/2 pound of cheese, but it was still good. I can't wait to try it will full cheese! I also wasn't sure how heavy my squash was as I only used one very large squash from my garden? No corn chips? No problem! I used crushed tortilla chips and pita chips!

Basil Peach Pepper Parmesan Cobbler
I really enjoyed the addition of fresh basil, and the parmesan was nice as well. I'm not so sure about the pepper though. I suspect the grind on my pepper mill was set too course because some bites were quite potent with black pepper!

Tater Tot Taco Casserole
I used the big can of enchilada sauce because we love it and I also browned the meat with the onion and the garlic. We used pinto beans because we prefer them. Everything was delicious! Also, if you happen to be near a Target store, check out their Archer Farms brand Southwest seasoning! It's got a great chipotle flavor that made this a little more special!
