Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
I have never used a "real" recipe for meatloaf in the past. This was very good! I did not use oats, but did add breadcrumbs. I also added Worcestershire sauce to both the meat mixture and the sauce.

Kalamata Pork Tenderloin with Rosemary

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
This was an excellent dish! My husband who is a "new" food skeptic really enjoyed the mixture of flavors. I served it with garlic rosemary smashed potatoes, asparagus with lemon butter and a wonderful bottle of merlot in a romantic candlelit setting. Thank you for this recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
This recipe was fantastic! No more frozen pot pies will be found in our freezer. We like alot of creamy sauce, so I added a can of cream of chicken soup and made individual pot pies. They turned out excellent! Thank you for this recipe.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
This is a winner! Especially with my picky eater children! I'm not one to follow a recipe's ingredient list to a tee, and I don't care for too much parmesan. I used a 4 italian cheese blend and not sure how much. We will use this recipe often when looking for a quick meal. Thank you for this recipe!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2005
This was an excellent dish! I made a few changes. I sauteed the mushrooms in butter then let them simmer in white wine. I left out the green pepper, sherry, and onions (I HATE onions!!). Added cream of chicken soup (since we like it more creamy), carrots and broccoli. The only problem was I didn't make enough for leftovers! This one is a keeper! Thanks Doris!

Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
What a great way to serve those dreaded-by-most brussel sprouts. I followed the recipe to a T. As soon as I added the cornstarch, it turned to paste. I did not have any more chicken broth, so I added a bit of water. Then tasted it and thought it then tasted watered down, so I added 2 T butter. YUM! This side dish was enjoyed by all. Thank you!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
I was skeptical to serve this to my "steak & potatoes" man, but he LOVED it! I did add mushrooms, but followed the rest of the recipe; however, I am really bad about not measuring... I used a lot more cheese than called for and had to thin the sauce with a little more milk. It turned out wonderful! Thanks! This one is a KEEPER!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
This was a first time for me. My husband has been asking for chili since Sept. So, I perused the chili recipes available and thought this one sounded like a winner and... it WAS! He was in awe that it tasted so good the first night, the second night and lunch the next day! The spice mixture is perfect. The only thing different I will do next time is use shredded beef cooked in the crockpot all night before I make the chili the next day! YUM! Thank you!

Roasted Potatoes with Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
This dish turned out very good. However, I don't think I will combine the potatoes and spinach next time. We didn't care for spinach with rosemary flavoring.

I have been searching for a pot roast recipe like "Mom & Grandma's", but just can't seem to find one. Sorry, but this one was a bit bland.

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
Excellent! I usually alter most recipes, but the only change I made was to use half of the ricotta in the recipe(dieting)and omitted the eggs. After reading the reviews, I made the entire batch of cheese-spinach recipe, stuffed the chicken breasts and mixed the rest of the spinach-cheese mixture with more sauce Poured the sauce over the chicken and baked for 45 minutes.Removed the chicken breasts to plates for serving and added rotini pasta to the sauce and served.Hubby had a "I'm not sure about this" look on his face when served, but a "YUM" compliment upon tasting.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
This was an excellent recipe. I like a lot of veggies in my stew, so I added frozen corn at the beginning and fresh zucchini and mushrooms an hour before serving.

Broccoli Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
I love broccoli slaw and it is one way to "hide" the veggies! I also make another version using the slaw mix, poppy seed dressing, pineapple chunks, raisins and sunflower seeds. YUM!

Veggie Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
This was excellent! I was looking for a recipe for the "sauce" for stir-fry. I don't follow many recipes as far as measurements go. The sauce in this recipe fit perfectly! I marinated some strips of tri-tip in soy sauce and added MANY veggies. My hubby who is a steak & potatoes guy LOVED it! Thanks!

This was absolutely fabulous! I used half LF Mayo & half LF sour cream, added more artichoke hearts, and 4-cheese Italian blend. My guests now think I am a gourmet chef!
