Best Yet Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
WOW...this chili is amazing! The cinnamon is definitely what makes it. It gives it an amazing flavor! I did change it just a little...First I added 1/2 an onion chopped up with the green pepper and turkey. I also added 2 cloves of garlic, minced to the mix. I didn't have any cumin so I just left that out. After reading the other reviews that it lacked spice, I bought canned diced tomatoes with jalapenos. This gave it a great kick for me, but was a little too spicy for everyone else. Don't be afraid of the cinnamon...I even added a little more! I also let mine simmer for about an hour before eating and freezing.

Peach Cobbler III

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
This is wonderful! It is more "doughy" than the standard cup of everything + stick of butter recipe. In my opinion it is better. I cut back the water to 1 cup. I have also made this recipe using blackberries instead of peaches. I think that it would work well with other fruits too (apples, blueberries.) Definitely a keeper!

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Absolutely delicious and soo easy! My boyfriend has started requesting them! I eyeballed the oil but I know I used nowhere NEAR a full cup. It was probably more like 1/3 cup of oil. Make sure it is really hot before putting the potatoes in. This will keep them from absorbing a lot of the oil.

Chocolate Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
These muffins were absolutely delicious! I made half the recipe (I only had 1 banana) and I am definitely regretting it because now they are all gone! I did lower the dose of baking soda as suggested previously. I baked mine for 15 min and let them cool in the pan then on a wire rack. The combo of choc. chips, walnuts and banana was perfect. I will DEFINITELY be making these again!

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
These are amazingly easy and absolutely delicious. They take no time at all to prepare. I used 1/2 a stick of butter and had I would say over half the oats just fell off the bars when it came time to cut them. I will make these again but I will follow the recipe and use the full amount of butter!

Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
I was super excited to make these but I was a little disappointed with the final result. I followed the recipe exactly. My brownies came out a little cakey not moist like most brownies. I also think that they could use more butterscotch. I didn't think that the butterscotch flavor came through that much. They were definitely yummy but I'm not sure I would make them again. If I do I'll add in more butterscotch chips with the chocolate chips and take them out of the oven a little gooey and let them "harden up" in the pan.

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
Definitely not better than sex. The cake is good but I won't make again. Too much work for not enough return.
