Brown Sugar Smokies

Awesome little snack that everyone raves about. I add a line of catsup to mine before putting the brown sugar on. This boosts the flavor right over the top! Yum!

Excellent! Just like Mother used to make, except for the oven temp. 350 is a better temp for baking this. I added a little onion, and a tad more cheese. Also added a little more regular milk to keep it moist. Ummmmm, good!

Potato Salmon Patties

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

This receipe is being requested for every holiday by my family. No more mashed potatoes and gravy to go with the ham. It's always hashbrown casserole now. It's wonderful with all meats. I'd say for sure there are no fewer calories in this, but it's soooo much more delicious!

Kolaches I

This recipe rates up there with the best of kolaches. Something I especially like about this one is the suggestion of leaving the kolache flat with a center indention filled with preserves. They are beautiful served on a tray this way, and you can see what you are getting. My personal preferences are strawberry, apricot, & blackberry, but the choices are limitless! Ummmmm, good!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Strawberries in a veggie salad? Never would have thought of adding them, BUT... they are a delicious variance to an otherwise rather plain looking green salad. The toasted almonds and seeds were also a nice touch for texture. Overall this is one of the most delicious, nutritious and colorful salads I've ever had. The dressing is the perfect finishing touch! It will be served often at our house while fresh strawberries are in season. Judy

Salmon in the Dishwasher

Excellent! I used butter and lemon generously on the salmon before sealing it in the aluminum foil. There were rave reviews by our company going when this was served. It was very moist, and our company was in agreement that never had they had more tasty salmon served, even in a fine dining restaurant. This is something that will be served often in my home, and it will be dishwasher cooked forevermore! Judy

Bandito Buffalo Wings

This became an instant favorite at our home. I use chicken breast strips, rather than wings, to lower the fat content. It's just hot and spicy enough to satisfy that urge for Mexican food. I shake it up in a zip lock bag, and then immediately freeze the rest of the mixture until next time.

Aunt Cora's World's Greatest Cookies

My grandchildren, children, and husband are convinced that this truly is the world's best cookie recipe! These cookies hold their shape very nicely, and have that wonderful homemade flavor with that beautiful bakery appearance.

Almond Coconut Chocolate Cake

Have a sweet tooth? This will more than satisfy, and it doesn't take but about a 2" square to do just that. Absolutely delicious! Better than the candy bar it is named after, I think.

Chocolate Spoons

Wonderfully delicious little spoon! To my Christmas gift cups, I attached the spoon to the handle, and inside the cup put a small bag of hot choc. mix enclosed in a plastic bag inside a little fabric print bag with small bow on it, and a small plastic bag holding two heart shaped home-made marshmallows. The marshmallow recipe is found in Martha Stewart's recipes on the Oprah site. Judy

Mom's Curried Fruit

Excellent, but I prefer using all brown sugar. Strange, but in this recipe the curry tastes more like nutmeg than curry. I also like to add a few toasted pecans on top of this dish just before serving. Judy
