Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I made this "as is" and it was great! My fillets were quite thin and I was afraid the sauce would be overpowering. I even thought about cutting out the lemon juice, but it was all perfect. A keeper for sure!

Swiss Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
I made the recipe "as is." I didn't think it had much of a taste. My family thought it was good, so I gave it 3 stars. I wasn't very impressed with it. Sorry to give a disappointing review. I'm sure if I make it again it can be altered to be fantastic. It has a lot of potential.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
I'm only giving it 4 stars because I didn't follow the recipe exactly (otherwise I'd give it 5!). I hate reviewing recipes that I don't actually follow, but I didn't have enough wine so I improvised a bit :) I put in one cup of wine (petite shiraz...again, improv) and 1 cup of beef broth from a bouillon cube. I didn't have onion or celery, so I put in some dried minced onion (though I don't think it made a difference) and 2 packets of gravy. This was delicious! And I'm such a beginner at this stuff and I hate making pork because it's always dry and something always goes awry. But this was the best pork I've ever made. Thank you!

Pomegranate Martini II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
Sweet and delicious! My roommate (who doesn't drink) even had one. We were afraid that it would be too alcohol-y, but it was perfect!

Florentine Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This was really good. It was more of a "stoup," but I still thought it was good enough to make again. It's healthy and filling. I didn't have fresh basil so I used dry, mediterranean basil and cut the spinach down some. I also added some red pepper I had just to use it up and it was a great addition. I think you could probably add whatever you want. Next time I might add some mushrooms or zucchini. Thanks for a great recipe!

Easter Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2013
I made this this morning for a dozen family members. I took the other review into consideration. I used a 9 X 13 pan, added 13 eggs, 3 cups of cheese, precooked the bacon and the potatoes O'brien. I added some garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. It needed 15 less minutes without the foil and it was perfect! Thanks!

Strawberry Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2006
This was pretty good. The dressing alone was not something I was excited to eat, but it was wonderful with the salad and strawberries. I think next time I will sugar the pecans and decrease the sugar in the dressing.

Garden Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2006
A great, versatile pasta dish. I added chicken and cut the dressing in half. I made it the night before and served it to my lunch group the next day. It help up well overnight. I also kept out the tomatoes and served this with a caprese salad. Great! Thank you!

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
This was good. I used more cream of chicken and less broth, so it was a bit thicker and heavier. It was good for a cold autumn day. It was a bit salty for my tastes, but no one else seemed to mind. Very easy to make!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
This was my first attempt at peanut butter pie for some friends. A few of them thought it was store-bought! I made one with a chocolate graham cracker crust and crushed peanut butter cups on top (that's the one they ate) and made the other with a regular crust and chocolate sauce swirled on top and froze it for later. It was delicious and easy. I will definitely be making this again!! Thanks!

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Great! I tripled the recipe and we had some left over, but the party-goers asked to take the leftovers home! I had to use the Grands biscuits and ended up having to cut the biscuits into quarters. These were a big hit. It took awhile since I tripled it, but worth the effort. Definitely a keeper!

Wonderful! Easy and delicous...what more can I ask for? Next time, I might try to double the topping, but it is great exactly the way the recipe is written. Thanks for sharing!
