Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
PMS pick!!! When you want something sweet and chocolate but feel too lazy to spend a lot of effort, these are your brownies. Very sweet so a small piece does the trick. :)

Grandma's Secret Pie Crust

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
I can make this in my sleep! I worked selling homemade pies at a market for 4 summers and this was my secret weapon. 864 pies in a span of 6 months sold can't be wrong! It has been a little kitchen temperature sensitive so if it doesn't turn out right the first time, give it another go in a warmer kitchen.

Orange Cake

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
This didn't last 2 days with only 3 of us eating it. Easy to make and moist, I left it in a little longer but my oven is pretty old. I just did the old toothpick test. Sooo good!

Haddock Marinara

I don't eat fish but I made this for my parents and they raved over it and threatened me with bodily harm if I didn't add it.

Raspberry Oatmeal Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I love these, but they are so sweet I can only have a little piece at a time which I suppose is good for the waistline. I've also done these with French Vanilla cake mix, nice little kick of vanilla to it.

Gramma's Date Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I don't eat date squares, but I sell them at a market and I had so many compliments on these that I threw out any other date square recipes.

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I make this according to the recipe, but turn it out in one lump onto a big pizza pan. I spread it out alternatively flouring my hands and then continue with the rest of the recipe. My b/f loves this better than any store bought ciabatta.

Granny's Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
I cooked these as directed @ 250F and they were starting to burn on the edge and were still batter in the middle. I tried again putting them in at 350F and less time and they turned out perfect.

Butterscotch Brownies I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
I love these! I substituted 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips for the nuts and they're gloriously chewy.
