A friend brought this to our family in the midst of a family crisis. What an AMAZING dish...NEVER would have put these ingredients together but wowza!! She served it with a alfredo/rosa like sauce in place of the "cream" soups (not her favorite) but how splendid no less!!!!!!!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Come from a family who makes "homemade dumplings" I have to say I was skeptical. At the first "stir" they looked less than edible, I thought they would break down....BUT at "serving time" I was pleasantly surprised and will be putting this one on our menu in months to come...yum!

Basic Pizza Crust

I have tried several crusts lately and this one was great! I DID sub 1c of whole wheat flour for part of the flour total and I also rolled the crust out to fit a jelly roll pan (it made a great thin crust that still had substance). I will make this from now on!

Pumpkin Spice Cookie

Okay, call me weird...but I was skeptical how good GREAT cookies need only two ingredients. I am in a "clean pantry" mode before we move in four weeks. I ingredient searched spice cake mix and found this recipe and found (for whatever reason, I am NOT a baker) I had a can of pumpkin..well, let me tell you THESE ARE NOT JUST GREAT BUT SUPERB! I made my first dozen w/o choc chips (and baked them for 9 min) it was like eating a small pumpkin pie (I used the spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin). The second dozen I added the choc chips to (as suggested by other reviewers)--yum! I would suggest these cookies again and again.yumm!

Easy Peach Cobbler II

I thought this was fantastic! I used a 16oz bag of frozen peaches (didn't thaw) and added about 1 1/2 c. of blackberries. I cubed the bread, which seemed to work well. I did use all the sugar (I used splenda) called for and used the "homemade" self rising flour with a pinch of salt and a pinch of baking powder! It's a new staple in our house!

Upside-Down Pizza

I thought this was really good. My toddler LOVED it (ate seconds, and is a very finkie meat eater). I did add 1 italian sausage link to it. I cut my servings to 6 and used a smaller pan. It was GREAT and my husband said a new staple.

Indian Tandoori Chicken

This was okay. I used the "oven" directions and thought the chicken was a little dry. I WILL try this again but next time on the grill. I did some chix breasts and some thighs, hubby said thighs were NOT dry and awesome!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

I thought this was FANTASTIC! My husband is a big fan of balsalmic dressing and he said this by far beats any balsalmic he has had. I did use fresh basil in mine and about another tsp of evoo for the consistency I wanted...but it is a definite do again!
