About this Cook
My kitchen is the size of a postage stamp, so I'm always looking for quick and easy (and toddler-pleasing) recipes that will get me out of there fast.
My favorite things to cook
I have a love for all things brunch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I still remember the first time I made chocolate chip cookies with my grandmother, or making the perfect pumpkin pie with my grandfather (with no measuring spoons! Sorry gramps, I'm not that good yet!).
My cooking triumphs
My Sweet Potato Casserole always receives rave reviews at Thanksgiving and my kids can't get enough of my homemade mac n' cheese.
My cooking tragedies
My Tofurkey Cutlets, a recipe I devised myself out of desperation for Thanksgiving, was bad. REALLY bad. There was also the portobello burger incident of 09 that I'm still not ready to talk about.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Delicious! I used a quart of chicken stock instead of the water and bouillon granules.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust
A very quick recipe if you need a vehicle for pizza toppings and don't have much time, but it was completely flavorless and doughy. I won't be making it again.

Slow Cooker Carnitas
Currently cooking away in my crockpot for tonight's dinner. I've made this a few times and I always double the spice mixture since I usually have a larger roast. The leftovers are great with barbecue sauce and served on rolls.
