Soul Smothered Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2014
I made this last night and it was wonderful! I used sea salt and just put some on each piece along with the pepper. I definately used more than the recipe called for. But omitted the salt and pepper at the end since I used plenty in the first part of pan frying the chicken. I used one extra clove of garlic and added some mushrooms that I needed to move. Put in the correct measurements of carrots, onions and celery. But added extra cayenne pepper for a little extra kick. It turned out perfect and husband was extremely pleased. I cant wait to make this again. Thanks for the great recipe!

This is so good and easy to make. I had a beef round roast and used 1/2 the first day and liked this recipe so much made the rest the next. I had to go back to the store for the ingredients again. But it was well worth it!

Everyone really liked this recipe. I did not get to marinade overnight, though I did it most of the day while thawing. These pork chops were SUPER tender.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
My daughter and I made these last night and we thought they were fabulous! My husband loved them also. We did have to change a few things because we either ran short or did not have. We added a small amount of teriyaki sauce as we were short on the soy. We did not have any chili sauce, so we used some red pepper flakes and hot pepper sauce. We definitely ended up marinated longer and maybe that is what makes them so good. I tried to keep brushing more marinate on while baking as well. I liked them so much I ate more than I normally do!

Linguine with Chicken and Sauteed Vegetables

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I had to run to the store for ingredients. I forgot to buy cabbage, so I used kale instead. The lime was sublime. I made this exactly except for the kale. Highly recommend.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This was excellent. I did not have marsala wine, so I had to use port, since that was all I had on hand. I also substituted onions for the shallots. I just had one large tenderloin and the sauce was just the perfect amount. Thanks.

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
This was so awesome. We had leftovers of this and today it is almost already gone! I used about 1 1/2 lbs of crabmeat and followed the recipe exactly except for 1 can of diced tomatoes I believe had a roasted garlic flavor, drained. Will definetly be making again soon!

Tater Tot Hot Dish II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
I changed this recipe slightly. On top of the meat layer I put some spinach, feta cheese and cheddar. The soup mixture:I added to it 1 can of milk for more moistness and I omitted the salt. My husband Loved this recipe and asked to save it. He never does that!
