Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
This was very basic, but very tastey. I found that boiling the pumpkin is so much easier than my past attempt with baking it in the oven. I would definitely use this recipe again :)

Harvest Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
It was average, and only because I did a lot of adding on my own. After I followed the recipe, it seemed to taste to bland; so I added some cinnamon, brown sugar, some white sugar, and a peeled, cored, and cubed fresh apple. It tasted better after that. It gave it some sweetness.

This was SO delicious! There were so many flavors and textures. I did take some previous advice given about adding more veggies. I added some sliced portobello mushrooms. I will definitely br making this again. It was so easy :)

Best Ever Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2006
I didn't really like this all that much. I don't know if I over cooked the pasta or if Penne just naturally breaks apart like it did, but that in itself didn't make it taste bad. It seemed like there was way too much mayo in it, and too much dill, and I couldn't even taste the lemon pepper. It also tasted like it contionously needed extra salt. I think the ingredients need to be more specific because when I was at the store, I had the opportunity to chose from just plain lemon-pepper, or lemon-pepper salt, so I chose the former, and I think thats why it needed salt and I couldn't tast the lemon pepper. Also, this salad would seem to taste better with an oil based dressing (oil& vinegar; italian dressing)rather then mayo. I dont think that I'll be making this again.

I was told that this was delicious. I personally don't like really sweet beverages, but everyone else loved it, so I'll take their word for it!

Carrot Casserole

This was delicious! I loved the fresh carrot taste with the cheese. I will definitely make this again. I would even consider using it at a topping to some pasta or rice.

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
This was fairly good, but at times it seemed to have such a strong taste, even sickening; maybe there are just way too many strong ingredients.

Bread Pudding I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
This was okay. I didn't have the right size bake ware so I had to use a couple of small dishes. I think that because of this, there didn't seem to be much to it. It also didn't seem like it was sweet enough. But I am going to try making this again with the right size dish

These were very good. The white chocolate and cranberries were a nice duo, and a good change from the usual chocolate chip cookie. I will definitely make these again

I didn't actually taste this after it set, but I did taste the batter, and it was very yummy. Howver, my friends really liked it. They complimented on its mild peppermint taste, and how its not overbearing. Its really easy, and will probably make it again.

Stove Top Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
This was pretty good. Except for me burning the bottom layer of beef. I dont think that it needs to cook as long as the recipe indicates, even on a low setting.

Chicken and Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This was very good. My picky boyfriend who had his doubts while I was cooking it, really liked it and had seconds. However, I thought that it needed a little something; maybe the addition of a different kind of sharp shredded cheese, and some black pepper.

This was very tastey. I added mushrooms, used Bacos instead of real bacon, added more garlic salt, and added 2 Tbsp's of minced garlic. I will definitely make this again!

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
This recipe was really tastey, and I will definitely make them again. However, I wasn't sure whether to use quick or old fashioned oats because it wasn't clear in the recipe. I ended up using quick oats, and it came out very well.
