Deviled Eggs I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
This recipe wasn't bad. I used a mixture of light Mayo and miracle whip, which gave it a slight zing. I also used smoked paprika to (obviously)give it a nice smokey flavor, which I thought was tastey. Regarding the review above; the tint of the yolk mixture doesn't matter so much if you sprinkle more paprika over the eggs when finished, like the picture above.

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
This was so good! I added layers of cheesecake flavored pudding as well. The different fruits gave it a great flavor, and the angel food cake was nice and lite to compliment the sour cream/whipped topping mixture. I will definitely make this again!

This was so incredibly good! I made this for my boyfriends' work pot luck. Everyone loved it. It does make a lot. Use the suggestions of other people in the reviews; I did, and it came out perfectly!

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I found this to be very tasty. It would be even better in a mushroom sauce for further experimentation.

Banana Muffins with a Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
These were so good. I didn't have a full cup of walnuts so I combined chopped pecans to fill the cup. I also didn't have any granola on hand so I used Kashi Go Lean Crunch, which has a similar texture. I'd make them again, even with the modifications!

BUSH'S® Louisiana Chicken Gumbo

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
This was really good. I made it for a fall dinner get-together. It was the star entree of the evening. I added some spicy taco sauce as well as some chilli powder and cayenne pepper to spice it up. I will certainly make this again.

Buttermilk Chocolate Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
This was so delicious!! I made mini loaves and muffins out of this, and used them as Christmas gifts instead of cookies. Everyone loved them. I used mini chocolate chips with them since not everyone likes nuts. They were fabulous. I will certainly make them again!

Fantastic Mexican Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
This was amazing! Everyone loved it. It was so tastey and flavorful. I like my mexican food extra spicy, so I added some hot taco sauce to the beef/taco seasoning mixture along with some chilli powder and cayenne pepper. It was fabulous.

Creamy Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
This was pretty good. I was so busy cooking too many things that I forgot to serve this with the bacon and sour cream dallop. It probably would have had much more flavor with it.

Texas Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
This was okay. It ended up being too greasy between the cheese and the ranch dressing. The general taste was average though. It needs something else, like some sort of veggie in it.

Baked Beans, Texas Ranger

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
These were the best baked beans I have ever had. They were hot and spicey. I added cyanne pepper, onion powder (since my guests were not onion fans), and I used hot sausage. Yummy!

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
This was good, but due to everyone's distaste for Spinach, I had to use chopped broccoli, which wasn't bad. I think that the cheese and veggie mixture needed more salt and pepper. Overall, it was pretty good though.

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
This was average. I felt like the stuffing was to moist, and ordinary tasting. It seems as though the moisture problem could be cut down if the chops were baked in the oven (with the beef broth in the casserole dish) after being in the frying pan.
