I am a 25 year old recent graduate living in Japan as a researcher. Daily, I consult AllRecipes because it is neither wise, healthy, nor economical for me to eat out everyday. The living spaces in Japan are small and the kitchens are even smaller. However, I have successfully created a kitchen that is functional and is always oozing with special cooking motivational energy! My everyday pasta dishes are slowly evolving and I can increasingly whip up a quick and tastey meal easily. Amazing how living in a foreign country will challenge you...
My favorite things to cook
Potatoe Pancakes, French Toast, Chicken Chilli, my grandmothers delicious macaroni recipe, and lemon shrimp with Thai rice.
My favorite family cooking traditions
None that come to mind
My cooking triumphs
I created lemon shrimp Thai Rice as an attempt to duplicate a recipe I tasted at a local restaurant and it turned out wonderful!
My cooking tragedies
cooking chicken chilli with chilli pepper, instead of chili powder... It was still tastey, but was more salsa-like as opposed to chilli. I still ate it :).
