Chicken Diane Style

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
This was a big hit with everyone in my home, guests included! I sautéed the onions and mushrooms in a little olive oil and about a Tbsp. of butter. I also seasoned them with garlic salt. I followed the rest of the directions pretty much to a T, except that I put the lid on when I simmered the chicken. The sauce is absolutely wonderful!!! I served it with Trader Joe's Brown Rice Medley which is a combination of brown rice, black barley and radish seeds. Perfect!!!

Chocolate Trifle

My daughter and friend insisted that I give this dessert 5 stars. My husband called it decadent and it was an all around big hit! The preparation was easy enough for anyone to make :O)

This is the best breakfast casserole I've had. My family loved it. It's a great "Leftover" food as well!

Chocolate Earthquake Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
As cakes go, this is at the top of MY RICHTER scale!!! I used 3 cups of the powdered sugar and after I dropped the cream cheese mixture by spoonfuls into the cake, I gently ran a knife through the batter (being careful not to insert it too deep)to create a marbled effect. It does require a little longer baking time than instructed. 50 minutes worked perfectly for me. GREAT RECIPE!!!

Sex In A Pan III

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
Easy, quick and delicious. What more could you ask for. There is a discrepancy in the recipe. It calls for 3 C. of milk but then it says to prepare the pudding as instructed in the package which calls for 2Cups each. Other than that it was a big hit in my home. I ground chocolate chips and sprinkled them on top of the whipped cream instead of using the unsweetened chocolate. It added a nice texture.

Cranberry Upside-Down Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This recipe is quite easy to follow and the results are excellent. I use 1/2 C. of brown sugar and 2C. of cranberries. It makes the topping of the cake a little more tart and absolutely delicious. It was a huge hit in my home!!!

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
As simple as it sounds, it really is quite tasty. The ease of preparation is a bonus. I didn't want to use butter so I sprayed the chicken pieces with olive oil cooking spray and it turned out beautifully. I'll definitely be making this again. It was a hit at our home.

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
These are easy, healthy and delicious. I substituted the oil with apple sauce and used only 1 cup of regular wheat flour. Everyone loved them. Next time I think I'll mash some banana and chopped walnuts into the mix.

Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
I changed this a bit and it turned out much better than the original recipe which I tried the first time. I added 1 can of sour cherries to the fruit mixture. I only used 2/3 of the cake mix on top and increased the butter to 3/4 C. (1 1/2 sticks. Finally I sprinkled 1/2 of chopped pecans on top and added shredded coconut to the top when there were 20 minutes left of baking time. YUMMY!

Cilantro and Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Great side dish and super easy! I baked my cut potatoes as another reviewer suggested for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. I sprinkled a little olive oil on them first. The lemon juice is good but not necessary.

Peruvian Lomo Saltado

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I am Peruvian and if you are looking for an authentic "Lomo Saltado" flavor, this is it! I also believe that it is better to use real potatoes.

Cranberry Spice Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I made this recipe exactly as indicated with the exception of a yellow cake mix rather than spice cake mix. The filling is what was so odd. They're ok at best but I will probably not make these again.

Coconut Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I can't give this 5 stars only because I am not a fruit/chocolate lover. However, in all fairness, the rest of the family LOVED them at Thanksgiving. The whole batch was gone quickly and they're incredibly easy to make. I, like another reviewer, also poured the condensed milk on top of the cranberry layer.

Can't Leave Alone Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
They're as good as they are easy to make! I sprinkled toffee bits on top before baking and they turned out GREAT!!! I do recommend waiting until they cool to cut them as they are somewhat soft when they first come out of the oven.
