Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
My husband said he thought this was a "keeper", and my two sons (20 & 6) seemed to like it too. My chicken breasts were thick, so I added 10 minutes cooking time, and made a little more of the bread crumb mixture to sprinkle on top with extra cheese.

Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
I tried this recipe because it sounded so easy....which it was. But my family thought it was too sweet. We didn't love it.

Rhubarb-Raspberry Crunch

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
My family loves this recipe. I use frozen rhubarb, and frozen rasperries, (I've also replaced the rasberries with strawberries, and/or mixed berries) and double the topping mixture. The amount is just perfect for an old 7 1/2 x 12 glass pan that I have had for years......I could eat the whole thing myself! To bad I ghave to share!! Thanks so much for the great recipe!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
I absolutely loved this recipe. I made up the sauce and poured it over a left over roast that I had shredded.....and cooked it on low for a couple of hours. I substituted Curleys BBQ sauce for the ketchup. The taste reminded me of the A & W Barbequed beef sandwiches that my Grandparents used to get for me many moons ago. Thanks for the great recipe, it's a keeper at our house!!

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Pretty easy, but I ddn't care for them....could be the stuffing mix I used. I used boneless chops (had to add about 10 minutes cooking time), and used Stove Top for pork. Seemed really bland to me. Might be better with thinner chops.

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2007
Oh my gosh!!! This is Excellent! I took others advice and used 5-6 cups of rhubarb (frozen, drained), 1 1/2 Cups of sugar, then added about 1/4 tsp. of salt in the topping. This was the best! There is plenty of topping....and we love it that way. I baked it in an old 8 x 12 glass pan that was my Grandmas (she would heartily approve!), and it was perfect. Thanks for the recipe Carolyn....my husband, and the rest of my family, say it's AWESOME!!!

Inside-Out Manicotti

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
Our family didn't love this recipe, we felt like it was rather bland. My 5 year old, however, did eat it, and asked for more. My suggestion would be to add a pound of ground beef (which I did), and a little italian seasoning to the tomato mixture. If I fix this again, I will spice it up.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
My family loved this soup....I did tweak it a bit, to suit out tastes. I upped the carrots and onion to 3/4 of a cup, and added 11 tsps. of boullion granules, a couple of extra dashes of pepper, and used two packages of broken up Ramen noodles in place of egg noodles ( a little of their seasoning too). There were no leftovers, and I have a family of 4!! A keeper!!

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
This was jut OK to me. It was very simple to make, but I don't love oregano or basil....makes this sauce taste too Italian. I may use this recipe again, but add a tad more garlic, and omit the oregano and basil.

Pineapple Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
We liked this recipe, but did add just a little garlic powder. This is very good served with Wheat Thins or Triscuits. I think next time I will half this recipe...we didn't need two cheese balls! I did drain the pineapple well in a strainer, then on paper towel. It turned out good, not soupy.

Mexican Sour Cream Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
My family LOVED this rice, even my picky 5 year old! I used chicken boullion instead of broth...and did add extra liquid, and used frozen corn instead of canned. We decided this was definitely a keeper....a truly different, good and easy recipe! We will make it again!

Pina Colada Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
A co-worker gave me a similar recipe years ago, and I couldn't find it...so I was on a search. I mixed crushed pineapple in with the cake mix.. My family just loves this cake, especially my college aged son. I think he and I ate it all before my husband remembered we had any left!!

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
I tried this recipe because my husband doesn't like my favorite recipe with raisins and coconut. This cake was wonderful! My 5 year old loved it too!! I used my own cream cheese frosting recipe, and the cake was superb!!

Robin's Sweet and Spicy Black Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
My husband just loved this "different" recipe - truly a good combination of sweet and spicy! I mixed it with cooked rice, and served it with mexican meatloaf. It was a hit!
