Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This recipe was awesome! Thanks so much! A KEEPER! My husband LOVES egg drop soup and this is superior to the others I tried. Big tip: I used the low sodium chicken broth to keep the salty taste other egg drop soups get down. I make often since it so easy-and a family favorite. If I don't have chicken broth on hand, I use 1 cup of water to 1 crushed chicken cube per serving as desired. Thanks so much!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This ROCKED! Thanks so much! I kept most of the recipe intact, but took others advice and only added salt to taste--also cut cayenne pepper and cumin in half..I served this with Naan bread--it was a HUGE hit! We LOVE this! Thanks!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Ok, I was a sceptic if this could be done at home! THANK YOU! I am a Happy Believer!!! I just finished making a batch of these and I am still smiling...WOW! This was SUPER! First to make it easy and to make sure they "looked" like cheese sticks-shape-wise, I used Sargento Mozarella sticks, I unwrapped each and cut in half. I had 3 separate bowls setup w/ mixtures as described. I dipped each moz stick in egg mix, then flour mix, then egg mix, then bread crumb mix-making sure they were coated well. Then I put in oil. NOT ONE leaked!! I had to watch these little suckers cause they brown really fast! I let them cool a few minutes and served with little cups of pizza sauce for dipping. My 4 kids and hubby ADORED them and can't get enough. Considering these cost alot on dinners out--they are a KEEPER! WORD OF ADVICE: Use latex gloves to keep hands clean, this can get messy, and if making more than a dozen the mixes get goopy, so for large batches have extra mixes ready! otherwise..would give 10 stars if I could! THANKS SO MUCH!

Not the cookie for those that like crunchy cookies//I salute you Nicole!

Awesome recipe! Easy to follow, came out PERFECT first try. I followed it to the letter. I made 2 batches. One as written, the other I dipped 1/2 the biscotti in melted chocolate for variety. A HUGE success with my husband, children and girlfriends (made for afternoon tea with my the ladies:-) All asked for recipe. A KEEPER. Thanks!

Simply the Easiest Beef Brisket

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
SO EASY, TENDER and great flavor. A new family favorite. I followed recipe but instead of sliced onions, I added one packet of Lipton's Onion Soup mix instead. NOTE: I had a 7 1/2 lb brisket, so I cut in half and put each half in a separate aluminum pan (for easy cleanup), then I mixed 2 separate batches. The first I cooked in the oven as stated, the other in a slow cooker. The oven MAKES all the difference!! The oven-cooked brisket flaked easily and absorbed all the flavor>>YUM, the slow cooker brisket had great flavor, but texture-wise was that tough-hard-to chew texture..we will stick with the oven as the recipe states..A KEEPER! Thanks! I served w/mashed potatoes, gravy & peas. Everyone from 3 yr old up to teenagers and Papa-LOVED it! Thanks!

Cream Cheese Corn

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
Kinda bland as is, but a decent start. To make I use a large can of drained corn and add a 1/2 container of medium salsa to the cream cheese to give this "kick". Perfect as a side dish to a Mexican dish or even a nice seasoned steak and a baked potato.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
Awesome recipe! I use a drained can of small diced tomatoes and omit the onion, the recipe is very flavorful. I also use Grands flaked biscuit and cut into quarters. Make sure you roll each quarter into a little ball then press well into the mini muffin tin, otherwise the topping rolls off when baking. They are filling and delicious! I have made many times now and have given recipe out at least 1/2 a dozen times. Makes me look like a chef! They are yummy and quick! Even my kids (ages 4-14) ask for them (and hubby too!) thanks--a KEEPer in my recipe book!

Awesome corn chowder! I made a couple changes, but it is so delicious! I substituted 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth for water and 2 cups evaporated milk for half-and half and added 2 tsp ground thyme....Fabulous! Thanks!

Ok, I'm a believer! I have never made bread before-but due to insomnia have been using the creative outlet of cooking help ease stress (believe it or not)--I have "always" wanted to try to make bread--this bread was so easy to make AND delicious! It even looks like I'd made it before! My family was thrilled. I served it sliced with butter with a homemade lasagna dinner and salad. I followed the directions with no issues or problems and it came out perfect--1st try! these loaves served my family of 6 with enough leftover to make papa a couple french bread sandwiches for lunch to work the next day!! YUM!! thanks Liz--This rocks! It is a KEEPER! Madeleine
