Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
delicious! Now that I've made them from the recipe and know that they are good, I'll start adding the goodies that make them even better. I love how they taste so cheesy without an ounce of cheese in them.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
These were pretty good. I left off the topping and then froze them. I set them out the night before to thaw for my children's breakfast in the morning.

Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
These are so good. I used whole cranberries I bought fresh in season and then froze. I think I'll chop them a bit next time. Using them whole is a little to tart for me. I put these in the freezer and then take them out the night before, for my children's breakfast.

Curried Butternut Squash and Pear Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I too roasted all of my veggies together. Only I had no pears and so used the only fruit in the house...granny smith apples. I halved all of the veggies and fruit (except the garlic) then brushed the open sides with olive oil. Roasted as suggested, then simmered them for a while in the broth, to soften them, before I blended. This was so good although, not very filling by itself. I'll have to find some more delicious Indian recipes to go along with it.

I can't believe I haven't rated this bread yet. I use this recipe all of the time, over all of the others. I just love ginger!

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
Delicious, for once I got the rice done right...not overcooked and not undercooked. The family gobbled it up even though I to deal with a lot of substitutions since I didn't have all of the ingredients. Still turned out good!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I love this very inexpensive dish. It's one of those dishes though, that is almost necessary to make one night and then put in the fridge and eat the next day. It gives the flavors a chance to marry and is sooooo much better. I had rated this a 4 star and then bumped it to 5 after eating the leftovers the next day. WOW! Only thing I changed was to not add even half as much caraway seed. Didn't think the kids would like it. And to add the quartered and sliced baked potato.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
I've heard of so many people making tetrazzini out of leftover turkey, I thought I'd give it a try. It was good, reminded me of tuna casserole. It made a whole lot. More than what my family of five could eat in one night. Lots of leftovers of this too.

This was very good ham...no doubt about it. It was not my favorite though...my dad's ham glaze is the best!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Thought these were more tolerable than most. I cut out the sprout like was suggested (I think it made it less bitter) and cut them in half which made them not mushy at all.

I'm not a fish eater, but my husband is and I know it's good for us, so I'm trying to learn to like it. The sauce on this was delicious (I wonder if you could put it on chicken ;) My husband loved it all.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
wow! A friend mentioned making split pea soup and I came to the realization I'd never tried it. And that was only because I thought it kind of looked gross. I thought it was time I tried it. I had a bunch of smoked sausage in the fridge so I chose this recipe. I'm glad I did. It was so flavorful! My whole family enjoyed it. Wow!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
I received the Allrecipes cookbook the other day and this was the first recipe I tried out of it. I thought it was delicious! The stuffing on top gets a little crunchy and then the flavor of the Swiss cheese mixed with it is out of this world good.
