Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
Good recipe. I did use suggestion from others and used half brown and white sugar, half oil half butter, and nutmeg instead of cloves, although I'm not sure how much effect it has. Might try just as written next time. I baked in two smaller loaf pans and reduced the time to 45min. Also thought a crumb top would be good so I mixed a butter, sugar, flour crumb topping and put it on before baking. Came out great. Will make again.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
Made this salad for a potluck yesterday with no changes exept that I used rice wine vinegar and it was a hit. Several people ask for the recipe. Next time I will reduce the sugar a bit, but my strawberries were not the sweetest so the sweetness of the dressing was fine.

Cucumber Hummus

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
This hummus is quit enjoyable. The taste of cucumber add a different twist. It is the first time I have made hummus and did stick to the recipe. The only negitive is that it is a bit thinner than the hummus I am used to. It could be that I added too much lemon juice (it was a large lemon) or the cucumber was too large. I will make this again.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
Make this last night and my husband ask if it was difficult to do. In other words he would like me to make if again, possible often. I did double dip in in the buttermilk and crumbs as others recomended. Next time I might try cooking in the oven to avoid all the extra fat of deep frying but there will be another time!

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
What went wrong?? Using the advise of others I increased the number of peaches to 5 large ones, reduced the sugar on them to 1 cup, used 1 cup boiling water and baked for an hour. It tastes great but is more of a peach pudding than a cobbler. No solid cake just gummy mush.
