Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I like pecan pie but it always hurts my teeth as its too sweet, and I hate eating all that corn syrup. Well, I just made this pie as a trial run before Thanksgiving, and its amazing!!! Perfect flavor. Did have to lower the heat and cook longer. Next time I will cook it at 350 and then 300. And might double the recipe to fill my deep 9 inch pan, but otherwise I love this pie!!!!

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
When my MIL tells me "this is gourmet" over and over again during our Christmas day breakfast, it must be unbelievable. Four of us adults and two teenagers devoured this. If I had made two batches, they would have eaten them. Followed recipe exactly except cut back on the milk a bit. This is outstanding.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
I have tried a few cakes and they don’t often turn out very good. This one, well, it turned out perfect. My friends absolutely loved it and couldn’t believe the taste! Moist, perfect. Followed recipe exactly. You have to try this one.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
Cooked it for 1 hr at 375. Cut butter in half. My husband (who is NOT a big chicken fan) and two year old loved it. My hubby said it was "excellent". That makes it a keeper in my book. : )

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2010
This was awesome!! My husband said it was the best chicken parmesan I've ever made, and I've made a few. My only advice is: pound the chicken breasts thin season chicken with garlic powder, salt and papper use olive oil instead of vegetable It was as good as any restaurant!!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
Unbelievably good! Followed the recipe except I omitted the green peppers. Will never make any other Sloppy Joe recipe. I made it for my daughter's birthday party, and everyone loved it. My husband asks for it frequently, too. Great recipe as is.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
I've never given 5 stars to a recipe on this site, but this one deserves it. My picky husband said "this is as good as any teriyaki at a restaurant". I only had two chicken breasts, and put them in the crockpot for 3 hours on high. Delicious!!!

Mexican Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
Made this for my husband and he loved it!! He is picky about which recipes he gives two thumbs up too, but he couldn't get enough of this. The pork comes out so tender and the flavors are awesome. I didn't use the beans as I didn't have any, but it was still excellent. I'll be making this a couple times a month. Thank you!!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
We looooove these!! I don't use the green onions, as I never have them on hand, but they still turn out great. My husband sas they are the best he's ever had. I made them for my Mexican neighbors and they loved them as well. : ) Awesome!!

Scotcharoos

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
If you've never had these, you haven't lived. : ) I've been making these for a few years and everywhere I take them, people (adults AND kids) practically want to lick the pan. The only tricky part is melting the chocolate. Too much heat and you'll have a dry mess.

This rice is sooooo good!! My husband always has two (or three) servings, and my 2 year old loves it too. I never have garlic salt so I use a combination of garlic powder and salt. Always turns out great!

Mexican Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
Very good and very easy!! I added 1 1/2 tsps. of sugar to the corn mix to make it a bit sweeter, like cornbread. My husband loved it!! I'll probably try putting another half box of corn mix next time. Great with sour cream and some salad. Thank you!!!
