Addictive Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
delicious! the whole family loved it including my 2 yo, which says a lot. I am not longer intimidated by "chinese" food. One thing to note, make sure that you premix the water and corn starch. I didn't think of it and my sauce was a bit lumpy. Thanks for the recipe this one is going in the book!

Banana-Berry Brownie Pizza

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
yummy! I didn't have a large round pizza pan, so I used two 9" cake pans and layered it. This made it look super elegant like a fancy cake. The combination of brownies strawberries, banana, and cream cheese was absoultey divine. I made this for a houseful of out of town family and all 8 rated it a "5.5". Thanks for the great recipe!

Sausage Hash Brown Bake

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
Very good! I didn't realize that this recipe did not call for eggs until I was preparing it. I added 6 eggs and just mixed in every thing instead of layering it. Turned out wonderful, I made it for a houseful of guests for my son's baptism. They ate it all! I wonder what it would have been like without the eggs. It cooked up really light and fluffy with the eggs. Thanks for the great recipe, I think I have my offical breakfast casserole recipe now.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
Yumm!!! Cooks up perfectly, I sat them out for our open house and they were all gone when we returned. They did however take closer to 12-14 min to cook.

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
This was wonderful! I usually am not a fan of pork chops because they usually turn out dry and tough, but these were tender and juicy! My husband told me more than 10 times how much he liked then, and that we should make these the next time that we have guests. I only made one change, I didn't have any beef broth so I used a can of condensed french onion soup. The soup cooked down wonderfully and made a great topping for the chops. If you are considering trying this recipe you won't be disapointed!

Sugar Free Mocha Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This was ok. It ended up tasting very coffee flavored. I was tempted to add more granules because 3 tsp didn't seem like much, glad I didn't.

Very easy to make! Just what I was looking for. I cubed the potatoes, and added seasoning salt, and used fresh broccoli and carrots. Added to my list of favorite comfort foods!

Sausage Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
Yummy, very light and fluffy. Only used 1 can of green chiles, and used 6 green onions (as that was what was in the bunch that I bought, and didn't want to waste) Although I thought this needed more texture to it, maybe I'll try adding some finely shredded hashbrowns as a top layer.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2007
so quick and easy, took to a picnic and everyone loved it. Used the reccomended frosting recipe, very good! Don't hesitate to make 2 days in advance, after the second day it had more of an eclair taste/texture.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Very Good, doubled the recipe. I might use less Soy Sauce next time. I love basamic vinager and the fish was wonderful. The soy sauce just seemed like it was overpowering. Will make again, I would like to try this with salmon.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
Brought these little guys to Christmas carry in for work. Everybody loved them, they are still talking about them. I used a cookie sheet with stryofoam covered in plastic wrap, made the night before and they didn't dry up (which I was worried about). Also made a christmas tree cheesball and surrounded it with the little guys. To make the cheesball I shaped ball like a tree, then rolled in finely diced fresh parsley. Then decorated the tree with pieces of red & green peppers (which I had on hand for the scarves). And cut a Star for the tree out of a slice of carrot. What a fun recipe! Made everyone smile!

Peanut Butter Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
Very tasty. Was really curious about pumpkin & PB together. Since those are hubby favs thought I would try it. WARNING this makes alot!! Just wanted a little treat for hubby & I and it made 24 muffins and one small loaf. Kinda seems like it could use something else in it, nuts or raisins would be good. Possibly use crunchy peanut butter?

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2006
Thank you Holly for this great recipe! I have made this multiple times, and we love it. I usually omit or only use a sprinke of the cayenne pepper, to spicy for us with the amount called for. I also don't cook with the onions but save them for the top.

It was ok, a bit hamburger helpery. I used two cans of mushroom soup and added half a can of diced green chilies. Would have been really bland without. Still seemed like it was missing something.

Bermuda Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
Wonderful! Recipe serves alot more than 6. Used half the spinach and added a little iceberg lettuce for color, omitted the egg and added pecans and mandarin oranges. Dressing was wonderful. Unclear on how much onion to use and what type of onion, I used a little over a quarter of a vadalia onion and turned out wonderful!
