It was ok. Needed more seasoning also, should be creamier. Good base recipe though.

Excellent! They were a big hit at my work. I work at a restaurant and the cooks and staff loved them. I used Cabana Bay Coconut Pinapple rum. They were so good!!!

Tamale Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2006
This is a hearty meal that needs a little pep. Add chili flakes, salsa, and roasted chili peppers to add more flavor. Also go heavy on the cheese. Not a bad base recipe.

My boyfriend and I loved this fish and chips. He has been to London and New Zealand and found this to be one of the best recipes we have ever run across. We used seasoned breadcrumbs to add a little more flavor. Great recipe!!!

Classic Fish and Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
The fish would have been great if you eat it right as it is finished. If you let it sit until you are completed frying it get soggy. I will hopefully have better luck next time.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
This is a good base. I added some butter to get a crust that is more flaky and also I added garlic, basil and oregano to the dough and let it sit. This provides flavor that really accents any pizza that is made and may resolve the blan issues other may run into. Thanks for the recipe!

I would give this a 4 however I cooked it for my boyfriend and it was not his thing. He found it blan. I liked it. I added more oregano and threw in some basil. I also added a little white wine which I thought put a nice finish on it.

Linguini with White Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
This was not a bad recipe at all. I added 2 times the flour and 1/2 cup of wine. This thickened it a little more and the wine gave it a nice finish. Also I used more garlic adn added basil, oregano, and a little chili pepper to give it some kick. Great dinner, thanks for the recipe. Layne

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This is a good base, however add some spicy pepper flakes, more garlic, basil, and fresh oregano. Also use 5-6 medium size fres tomatoes instead of canned to give it a fresh flare. I used flour to thicken the sauce slighty so it was not runny. This was excelllent with Penne Rigata.

African Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2005
This is a great soup but it is a little heavy on tomatoes. My sweetie and I used more peanut butter (freshly ground) and a little flour. Instead of rice we used shredded chicken and chicken broth instead of vegetable stock. Needs more chili pepper and perhaps some giner... Thanks for the recipe.

Italian White Bean and Pancetta Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
This was a great soup that my sweetie and I cooked. We used low sodium broth and less beans. Also added garlic and oregano. Bow-tie pasta and tortilinis put a nice spin on this soup. Thanks for the recipes and tips!
