Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
Really good - we did it without the ground beef and added a can of diced tomatoes and put pepperoni on top.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
my family didn't really think this was anything special. It's better with traditional ricotta. I'm going to try a different recipe that also uses cottage cheese with the sour cream.

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
One of the BEST ice creams I've made yet. I couldn't find the cheesecake pudding but wanted the cheesecake flavor, so I used 8 ounces of cream cheese. I microwaved it to soften it for 30 seconds, added a little milk and whisked it smooth. I cut up a few chunks to add in to get that flavor in one bite, but once frozen, it was like little ice pellets, I wouldn't do it again. But the cream cheese throughout worked wonderfully.

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
I would give more stars if I could. I have NEVER found a recipe that was worthy for having company over, til this one. Wow. And I only marinated for 2 hours. I couldn't imagine how yummy it would be overnight. It tasted like we bought pre-marinated chops from the butcher shop. So good, flavorful, tender, YUM! And we didn't baste them in sauce at all, just grilled.

Cinnamon Honey Butter

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
good, but too much honey for my taste, actually I only used half of what the recipe said and it was too much for me. I also only used half the sugar which was plenty.

Italian Anisette Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Delicious! I toned down the frosting a bit - used about half the anise because it was too strong for us. Baked about 9 minutes. Will be adding to my list of Christmas cookies each year.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
very good, loved the flavor of the sauce. I doubled it for 4 pork chops and it was perfect and I even used only half the oil.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
topping is awesome but the meatloaf itself was a little bland. may try it again adding some more spice to the ground beef.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
best PB cookie ever. Definitely undercook them, makes them lighter, fluffier...I added a bit of PB and flour (1/4 cup) like suggested

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
this was pretty good. It was moist and flavorful, although I'm not sure it was truly "orange-y." I followed the recipe exactly (other than changing to vanilla pudding instead of lemon). I followed others suggestions to poke holes and let the glaze soak thru the cake which I think made it better. I wanted to add mandarin oranges to the batter but didn't because I like to follow the recipe the first time. Maybe I will try it again with the oranges.

very good chicken soup recipe. we took the advice of others and added garlic and added the noodles already cooked. But we heated the broth in the crockpot all afternoon. Yummy!

Three Bean Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I have never made a bean salad before, never thought I'd even like one. I made this one after having a similar one at a friends and it was so delicious! I used olive oil, and only 3 kinds of beans. As suggested, I cut the sugar almost in half and it was PERFECT. My husband and I finished off the whole thing in a few days.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
I pounded the chicken first and it cooked more evenly and faster. Frying first made the chicken so much more moist that it is when I just bake. Yummy!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
GREAT pancakes. I was afraid when someone said they weren't very sweet, so I added chocolate chips to a few of the pancakes while cooking. They were delicious! My husband and older daughter preferred the ones without. I also served with hot cider syrup from another recipe here. Yum!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
AWESOME! We used boiled boneless chicken breast and served with Tostitos/Fritos and celery. If I made again, I'd use a little less chicken. Not really spicy which was perfect for me.

Angel Hair Pasta Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2006
I thought this recipe was pretty awful, as did the rest of my family! I added some spices to the chicken (thank goodness!) but thought the pasta part was pretty bland. We added a ton of parmesan cheese to the top after which made it a little better.
