Chinese Fried Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2015
Oh this was yummy! I've had bad luck with fried rice and this was a sublime alternative. I'm allergic to peanuts so I used vegetable and sesame oil. I used frozen peas and carrots and thawed in the microwave for 90 seconds at 50% and cooked as directed. My only addition was some leftover asparagus with garlic and cooked the noodles with one of the pork spice packets. I DEFINITELY recommend adding the garlic. Lots of it if you like it. Gave it a lot of oomph! I also added extra egg because I like it.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
This is similar to an old recipe I use but I bake the chicken breast first with no breading. Melt butter in a skillet, and add 2 tbsp. Lime juice, 2 tsp. Fresh dill, fresh minced chives, and simmer the sauce on very low heat until chicken is done. Place chicken in skillet and coat with sauce. I add a LOT more chives because I like them and it does not affect the taste of the sauce. I think it tastes better without the breading and it is much healthier without sacrificing taste.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
Yummy!! Made just as directed but cut recipe to a 1/3 as its just me and my husband. I had to bake at 350 for 35 minutes as I was baking chicken breast at the same time. To my shock, they came out perfect! Just used a toothpick to check for doneness. For the reviewers that had a problem with burning, this may be a good alternative. Husband raved and hoarded them!

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2014
Omg; yummy!!! I was nervous about cooking it on high, but it was perfect! :) added sliced celery with leaves, more pepper and some garlic powder. I used natural light beer because that's what i had :) One hour was just right for the cabbage; I don't like it too mushy. Thanks for the fantastic recipe! Its a keeper.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2013
I sear the roast with flour mixed with salt, cracked pepper, garlic and onion powder. I only add 1/3 cup water, 2 cans cream of mush, reg onion soup mix, and a dash or worscester, mix, set aside. I cut potatoes and carrots in 1 inch pieces and layer on the bottom. I put the roast on top and surround it with onion quarters. Pour soup mixture over all. Cover with saran. Make husband set alarm at midnight to put slow cooker on low. I've never failed to eat fantastic roast by 11 am. Potatoes and carrots are melt in your mouth perfect! Husband samples meat until fork perfect. Your significant other will do the same once he/she tries it :)

Brilliant Potatoes With Paprika and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
Fabulous! I boiled tiny new red potatoes (cut in half to bite size) for ten minutes as others recommended, and added very thin strips of red pepper, some skinny asparagus, and two large garlic cloves slivered. I carmelized the onions in 2 tbsps.butter and about a teaspoon and a half of sugar once they started sizzling. I didn't carmelize completely(maybe about 10 minutes on medium heat). The 40 minutes in the oven on 400 did the rest :) I also stirred about halfway through cooking time. Fiance could not stop raving!!! Thanks! :)
