LOVE to cook and try new things. I have been cooking since I was a little kid in the kitchen with Mom! I love trying to make food/recipes healthier.
My favorite things to cook
Just about anything, except pie. Don't like pie and try to avoid to bake it! :) Mexican, Pasta/Italian and dessert!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Always have homemade egg noodles on Thanksgiving. We do the family thing at x-mas the week leading up to x-mas, so on x-mas day, my husband, 2 boys & I stay home and I fix something non-traditional! Enchiladas, pot roast, crab cakes, chicken pot pie, roasted pork, etc....
My cooking triumphs
That friends & family ALWAYS have many requests of me for any get-togethers!
My cooking tragedies
Oh there have been many over the years.....practice, practice, practice...it always makes perfect! I never give up!

The marinade is nice but 6oz filet should take no longer than 12-15mins in the oven!

Best Cream Of Broccoli and Potato Soup
I have some issues with recipes as written. 8-10 mins is way too long to sauté onions, but more importantly you never cook garlic as long as onions, or garlic turns bitter. Garlic only needs about 2-3 minutes. I added shredded carrots and sautéed celery with onions. Much needed flavor. Other than that this is a decent base recipe. I always use instant potato flakes to thicken gravies and cream based soups. Healthier, gluten, free and simpler!

Potato Spinach Casserole
I make a lot of vegetarian meals. We had this as a main dish. Cut butter in half, used fresh spinach, and used fresh grated asiago cheese and half cheddar. Added garlic and used reg onions since I had no GOs. Will def make again.
