Angel Food Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
My first attempt at making an angel food cake - wonderful! I used a 2 piece angel food pan, and cooled it upside down on a bottle. Super! Served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries and blueberries.

Not as good as I was hoping, but I think I'll try it again with milk chocolate instead. EDIT: I made them again with milk chocolate chips... perfect. Just perfect! Everyone LOVED them!

Flavorful, moist, wonderful. I didn't change a thing, but maybe added a little more garlic.

So good... I was actually shredding... then eating... then shredding some more... then eating some more... you get the idea.

My cornflakes got a little overly-browned, but other than this, this was perfect.

Pink Lemonade Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Tasty and refreshing! Used 8 oz. of softened cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar in place of the sweetened condensed milk. Also used 10 oz. of thawed pink lemonade concentrate and added four drops of red food coloring. Froze. Mmmmm.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
These are soft but I didn't have a problem with the texture. I made a few changes; bumped up the nutmeg and cloves to 1 tsp., used 1 c. white sugar and 1 c. light brown sugar, and used slightly over a teaspoon of vanilla. These are definitely better the next day, so if you have the time, figure that into the recipe.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I used 8-10 ounces canned peas/carrots instead of the chopped carrots, and added 3 cloves of chopped garlic. To the meat, I added 1/4 cup worchestershire sauce. Finally, I seasoned it with pepper, seasoning salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Also, I used all the cheese on the top.

London Broil I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
I used 1/4 c soy sauce and 1/4 c worchestershire sauce. Added 2 T balsamic vinegar. Added more garlic, and 1/4 t pepper. I marinated about 5 hours (would have done more but ran out of time). I flipped every hour. I broiled. Excellent. My roommates loved it, too... and ate all of it before I got any leftovers.

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This is very dense, like a casserole, but is delicious! I double the cheeses and use 1 egg, up half and half to 2 cups, use 8oz Muenster, 1 t. paprika, 1 1/2 t. onion powder.

I dislike eggs, so I rarely need them except for baking. This cake is super! Very moist!
