Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Very good and cheap. Uses ingredients on hand in the pantry. I used the food processor and it took only a few seconds to mix.

I used thinkly sliced deli ham, and it was still sensational. Perfect for creating a good impression when entertaining!

Frosted Nutmeg Logs

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
4 out of 5 because they taste great, but mine didn't hold their shape. There was no way I was going to be able to roll out the mixture as the consistancy was way to soft. So I put it into a zip lock bag, cut the corner off and piped it into logs on the baking paper. I think it was much quicker that way too! I ended up doing the piping bag trick for the icing too. I think it looked better too

Chocolate Chip Meringue Drops

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly, but it all went runny when I added the cocoa. I then had to beat 2 more whites up and fold it into the mixture to make it firm again. The taste was nice, but VERY rich and VERY sweet - and I love sweet things!

Chicken and Pumpkin Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
I used real mashed pumpkin, then added water an milk to thin it out. My daughter who NEVER eats pumpkin didn't even notice the pumpkin and ate it all up! A great variation on the traditional lasagne, though it is not really any quicker to make.

Baked Vegetables I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
A good way to create a quick variation on the usual baked vegetables. I chuck what ever vegetables are on hand in a baking bag and toss in the onion mix and iol. Shake the bag and stick it in the oven. No dishes! I use common sense as to judging the time each vege takes to cook and how big I cut the peices. eg, cut potato small and zuchinni larger. Never had a problem with over/undercooked veges.

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Great recipe, but if you add the suggested amount of sugar, I think it starts to lose some of the "uniquness" that the sour cream adds, and it starts to taste more like the usual sugar/milk/butter frosting. I added less than a cup of sugar and it was pretty good.

Chocolate Ganache Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
I made a large rectangular cake,, so I was worried that there wouldn't be enough icing - there was plenty! This is fantastic stuff! I made it in the microwave in less than two minutes.

Grandma Wright's No Bakes

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
OK, but not brilliant. Maybe better for kids, but not a cookie to serve to adults. It was a little more like chocolate icing with oats in it, rather than an actual cookie.Very quick to make!

Oatmeal Crispies II

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
I'm impressed. I wouldn't say the taste is that amazing, but they are nice, and they don't have that floury and oaty taste that some oatmeal cookies do. I liked them because they are QUICK! 20 mins after I started I had cleaned up the kitchen and had some yummy, hot cookies cooling down. My kind of baking!
