About this Cook
i'm a recent college grad who's always loved to cook, but now actually have the time and money to! i enjoy planning out meals, grocery shopping, and cooking a delicious meal each weekday night to share with my live-in boyfriend. it makes me feel domestic, ha!
My favorite things to cook
we try to eat fairly healthful, yet flavorful dinners, so i have found tons and tons of ways to cook chicken breast and ground turkey, although we branch out into pork, beef, and fish every now and then. i am a BIG fan of lots of herbs, spices, sauces, etc. they make it so much more fun to cook a meal!
My favorite family cooking traditions
my family doesn't have too many traditions, but we were all obsessed with potatoes in any way, shape, or form when we were younger
My cooking triumphs
getting over my fear of making roasts, because i'm so used to just chicken and the like and cooking for two instead of many. also, learning to make my own sauces instead of relying on store brought varieties.
My cooking tragedies
none, yet ... some things are more fantastic than others, but i have yet to cook a meal we just can't eat.

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas
this was awesome - my boyfriend requests it all the time, because he loves flavorful foods with a kick. and i love it because it is still fairly healthy (we use olive oil to brown up the quesadillas).

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce
this was an elegent and delicious way to cook the tenderloin. i just used random leftover dry red wine, and the sauce was great. also added garlic to the pork. will definitely make again!
