Great soup! We add garlic and onion while browning beef. Then use beef broth instead of water. We add 2 potoatoes and 2 small carrots cubed. Frozen peas and corn. Very tastey!

Looks just like little potatoes. The taste is interesting and grows on you the more you eat them. Not my favorite though.

Fast and easy. My husband loved it. I did add just a teaspoon of red pepper to give a it tiny kick. Might add a little more next time.

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
My family loves this. The only difference I make is to put the yeast in directly after the water to give it a head start. Other than that, these are a very tasty, easy side.

Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
My son did a class presentation on Monaco and needed to take some type of authentic food. Seeing as it's mostly French and extremely expensive there, we needed something that would be ooood and ahhhhhd at. I found this recipe and with the help from good ol' Chefpeon, we had a winner! I followed the chef's instructions to the T, except I poured mine into 17 tin and paper cupcake wrappers. If anyone else chooses to try this, I recommend putting a wet towel over the cupcake holders prior to putting them in to broil. This will keep them from burning. They were very impressive little treats and every child in the class wants the recipe for their mom! If the original recipe was Chefpeons I would have given this 5 stars. I cant wait to make in larger portions for my own family.

This is very easy and tasty... I did add some diced jalepeno and finely chopped pecans in with the apricot. Beautiful presentation. I am looking forward to experimenting with other fillings. Thanks!

Tasty Buns

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and they were perfect! I made a double batch for a family party and everyone raved about how good they were. Remember to mix the wet ingredients with the first two cups of flour and yeast for at least 3 minutes. This is what will activate the yeast to make them rise. I love the ease of this recipe. We will make again and again!

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I thought I'd try this recipe because of all the high reviews. I don't like it as much as the one I usually use. It wasn't bad, just not as good as my tried and true recipe.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
Very tasty and easy to make. We used 3 cups frozen blackberries and 1 cup frozen blueberries and it was wonderful. I cut the sugar back to 3/4 cups and it was perfect for our taste. I rolled the dough out to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut out into circles and layered on top of fruit to look pretty. I then sprinkled some cinnamon sugar on top. Will definitely make again and again! Thank you!!!

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

My family loved this recipe, they said it was almost like a dessert. I did use a can of chicken broth instead of water and wine and added some brown sugar and cinnamon per earlier review. It was perfect with rice. Very nice gravy.

Peach Pie the Old Fashioned Two Crust Way

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
This was my first peach pie. I loved it!! I did add blueberries as I didn't have quite enough peaches and upped the flour 1/2 tablespoon. I always cook the bottem crust for about 10 minutes before adding the filling, keeps it from getting soggy. It turned out just right.

Mother's Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
This was a winner at our dinner table. I followed the recipe pretty close, however I did add some celery seed and a little garlic powder. (My family loves garlic). We had no peppers, but I will try it with them in the future. It does taste a lot like a pot pie without the crust. Especially with the celery seed. :)

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
The family all agrees... this one is a keeper. We added just a little extra season salt and a little garlic powder. I also pounded the chicken a little. Other than that, we stuck to the recipe. My 4 year old daughter really enjoyed smashing crackers and shaking the chicken in the bag. We served with mashed pots and pepper gravy. Yummy!

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
I gave up attempting to make crust after many failed attempts. However, I needed one yesterday and could not make it to the store to buy one. So I looked on my favorite web site and am so happy I did! I followed the recipe exactly and this pie crust is wonderful, very flaky, easy to use, by far and even looked beautiful! I did brush it with beaten egg prior to baking for a glossy look. Just beautiful! Thank you!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
I have made these many times. Every time, they get gobbled up so quickly. The only change I make is to melt 1/4 cup white chocolate chips with 1/2 teaspoon shortening in a zip bag. Then I cut the tip of the bag off and drizzle the chocolate across the top of the peanutbutter bars. It just makes them prettier. I have also made the bars with white chocolate on the peanut butter mixture and have drizzled the top with semi-sweet chocolate. Yummy!
